View Full Version : Moving Laws - 2 part
I'm being lazy...
"If" I owned NFA items:
If I permantely move to another state, must I notify someone and if so, how?
If I am traveling in my personal car across states lines with NFA items, must I notify someone and if so, how?
Thanks. Flame suit on for being lazy.
You don't have to notify if you are taking an AOW across state lines, but that is the only one and the only thing I can contribute to this thread.
Rgr, knew about AOW. I'm more interested in suppressor and a full auto.

My form 4 says you have to notify them in writting when moving
It's just a matter of sending in forms for both scenarios, but I too am lazy and refuse to look it up at the moment. ;)
Thanks cowboy.
Stuart - Me too... hence me asking, lol.
On the brightside and completely off topic. Think I settled on computer components... will come out to $1200... ouch. Time to start saving!

Anything NFA that launches a bullet needs a 5320.20 for a temporary (like a machinegun shoot) transfer across state lines. For a permanent change, notify BATFE in writing, even intrastate. If you are moving Interstate, NFA must be legal in the state you are moving to.

Well, that's just peachy. Guess I ain't movin' to NY anytime soon, lol.

You say that like it's a bad thing haha.
It's not Graves, lol. I've been offered several jobs in NY, Chicago, Nashville, and L.A. for my music and stuff. I just can't do the big city, liberal stuff. Although, everyday I second guess myself because I'm not even working in the music field now...
