Hello all, I am VERY new to firearms. I have shot in the past, but the last time was about 8 years ago or so, never was a enthusiast (sp?) until recently.(more on that later). I only own two firearms. The first one i bought from bass pro. It is a ruger 10/22. Ive had it about a year and (here comes the ribbing im sure!) STILL have not put a single round through it! I dont know where i can shoot it at. The place i go camping used to allow firearms but, of course once i bought a plinker, (i actually got it as a "survival tool'. Good for small game, just incase i get stranded up in the hills. The next one is a strum? & ruger .357 mag security six. have not fired it yet either, too durn busy and no one to shoot with either. Other than that im a all around chill dude, just love the outdoors, god and guns!

Welcome.

Sometimes it's difficult to actually get out and shoot.

Where in the state are you located? Knowing where you're located can help us to advise you of some of the more convenient places to go to shoot.

Thanks for the warm welcome every one! I have found so much usefull info on here! I live in SE saudi, errr...Aurora. I had a bad experiance at the firing line down here bout 4yrs ago and never went back, should try it again though, maybe the guy dont work there anymore. I went in to look at pistols and was asking a guy who worked there questions and he was just not listening, he was trying to push some BFG of a pistol on me and when i said that is NOT what i want he became very rude. I know i shouldnt base the entire range on one bad apple. Im gonna go there next week, if I can find any ammo for my .45

Make sure you post here how your experience goes. NO ONE should ever be treated so poorly by a retailer - especially amongst the firearms community (we really do need to stick together). If they're still treating folks poorly, the best way to show them it isn't acceptable behavior is to hit them in their cah register's bottom line.
