OK
So, looking to get into a .308 tacticle in a AR format. My .223 is a Les Bear Custom AR-15 and I like it. I have several of the moc .22 ARs but they don't really count.
I'm looking at these 3 because of price and availabilty. I understand that the action on the Remington is made by DPMS.
This gun would be used for target and long range varmit, looking at a longer barrel and stainless.
DPMS ~ $1000 , Remington ~$1200 Armalite ~ $1400
A little imput for a newbe
Thanks

FWIW-
The Remington is all DPMS.
The Remmy R15 is a Bushmaster.
Same company (Cerebus) owns all 3.
The Armalite rifles are great but can be a touch finicky ammo wise. The AR 10T is a real distance gun but a bit pricey.
I have a DPMS LR308 TAC20 that with a Magpul PRS stock and J&P trigger can run with my buddies 10T all day.
Took the time to break in the barrel correctly and it has proven to be very reliable and accurate.

I was at Green Mountain today, looking at the REM R25 and the Arm, both 20in. The rem was a could pound lighter, seem to be both in the reciever and the barrel. When comparing you could see the additional material around the magwell on the Arm. The rem barrel was fluted as well.

The arm was going for about 1200, the rem close to a grand if I read them correctly.

Thanks for the feed back.
I like the Armamlite in the AR-10T but pretty hard to get your hands on one. The Armalite seems to have a smoother bolt, and from what i've notice a used Armalite sells pretty fast.
Although the Rem 25 has cool camo it's not for me.
Thanks again for the input!
