I'm not getting rid of mine![UZI]
What's killing me is that I am 2-3 weeks from funding my 308 and I just have to hope some are still available when I get the cash.

Don't know. Ammo price?
I've noticed that as well, wish I had the money for one.

I'm getting rid of my Eagle-lite '10A2 because...uhmm..because of what Graves and Sniper7 said! I'd love another FAL for sure, but for now...too many in the herd.
Maybe not the reason here, but I've held three of them and shot two. Having owned various M1A's through the years gave me a strong, multi-level immunity to .308 AR's.

Anybody seen new specs on the Olympic chambered in 30 OSSM?
They now have data and ammo with 110grain bullets at 3500ft/sec!
There is no reason for the big AR-10 chassis artillery piece.
Also, Oly has trials scheduled for a joint FBI/CIA/USArmy trial/exposition this fall.
This probably really won't help the public get these guns any faster.
I built mine about a year ago and only fired it in one competition and while it's a solid performer and I really dig it I just bought a bolt gun chambered in .338 Lapua. The bottom line is that I'm going to be selling my AR10/LR308 to fund that project because it's going to get nutty expensive real fast and will be expensive to feed. It will also cover the longer range stuff just fine which is why I built the AR10 originally. It was my ling range weapon and now it's been replaced so I won't have a lot of use for it although I may keep it because I dig it SO much. I haven't decided yet.

I don't think it will affect sales at all. The .308 is still a KILLER round proven over various segments over decades of use and for what you get relatively inexpensive. Have you priced decent 30 OSSM? The guns will cost more the ammo will cost more and ultimately for your average shooter it's not going to do terribly much more and even sacrifices in a couple areas. IMO it's not going to kill the .308 carbine market and I doubt it will even affect it.

Well in anticipation of my new badger mount for my rem 700 showing up today. I decided to hit the gun store.
Picked me a LAR-8 and got the scope mounted on the 700. Good day!
