Kelly, will this be recorded? With wife and car I'm not sure I'd be able to make a solid committment but I'd like to try and be there.... so, count me in.

How about some more details, questions:

- Will this be a pure discussion of intellectual minds or will there be some sparring?
- if so, do we need to bring pistols, clothes to get dirty in?
- blah, blah, blah.

Noob question. Is this something for someone just getting into self defense? I'm taking my CCW class tonight and will be appling for the permit.

I've rehearsals on Tuesday nights, but I'd like to come!

To Ronald:

This and classes like it are essential to your ability to employ your ccw should the time come. The class you took is a good start, but you need to continue your education and training. This includes mindset classes (remember that if you have to implement your weapon and/or defend your life, you will be under tremendous stress, most likely more than you've ever experienced, you need to train your body how to operate under stress, because at that point your actions will be based on the muscle memory and mindset you've developed.) shooting classes, and trips to the range to continue to sharpen and maintain your ability to be effective in a self defense situation. Kelly has be gracious to take his time and offer such instruction for free and I recommend everyone take advantage of it (I know dudes who charge big bucks for similar classes) because you will learn something.

I wish I could come....next time!!

Good stuff, thanks Kelly!!

Your education and experience really showed in both your knowledge of the topic(s) and your presentation skills. I did not expect what I knew might be a 90-minute talk to go so quickly. Wish I'd had time to stick around.

Now I have some [Read] to do...

Folks if you have the opportunity to train with Kelly in some way I'd encourage it. Seeing him work tonight made it clear he's got a talent for teaching, and I wasn't surprised to learn that his upcoming pistol class (May I think) is not only sold out but has 20+ on standby.

I've already talked with my wife about practicing more and she not only agreed but said she felt bad about not shooting "her" guns more!
How's that for an endorsement??

+1 for kellyTTE
Sounds like a good lecture, I wish I could have attended but denver is kinda far for me. I am glad there are people providing quality information. In your lecture you said you wear going to adress the following.

° Priorities of Survival - Massad Ayoob
° On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs - LTC Dave Grossman (Ret)
° OODA Loop - COL John Boyd (Ret)

I would pay money for these three alone.
I love me some good educated unbiased info.
I can't hardly wait to go to FRONTSIGHT!

Excellent lecture Kelly! I learned a lot. More importantly my wife was much more open to talking about personal security after the lecture then she ever has been in the past.
