22 magnum ammo

I have found online 500 rnds of 22 magnum ammo made by Bitterroot Valley. It sells for $80 bucks. It isnt really that bad of a deal, just curious if anyone has any idea where I can find some 22 mag ammo? I have looked in all the normal spots online and no luck.

Id even be willing to trade some ammo for 22 mag for you 22 mag afficianados [Beer]

ETA: I do not reload....I know I know i need to get into it, but damnit if I dont shoot enough to really benefit from it.

think most the walmarts have 22 mag still on the shelf. Most don't know what it is and won't buy it. Some don't know and still buy it trying to put it in their regular 22.

oddly enough i've seem some winchester and armscor 22mag at the funshows for that price. a very under rated round. my 77/22mag's a blast to shoot with or w/out a suppressor.

Hijack: I got one of those too 77/22 mag, all weather stainless, great prarie dog gun.

saw a whole crate of 22 mag at a gun show a while back that was I think 1000 rounds for like $150 or something silly. I had enough already and the guy wouldn't sell quantity less than the whole case. Check the shows if you can wait for the next one...

Can't reload rim-fire (last I knew). I have heard you can buy primed brass to make your own load but I haven't looked for em'.

I like to think of 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire or 22 WMR, is like a 22 lr on roids. It is a bit more casing then a 22 lr and has a bit more punch then the 22 lr.

5280 armory has some, 8.00 box < 10.00 box and up. Not a lot of it though, maybe 500 rounds total in hunting rounds. No target/plinking stuff that I could find.

It would probably be an ok yote round, if the shot isn't more than 50-75 yards I'd say.

Wally World - Colfax Wads has some. 10 boxes of CCI JHP 22 Magnum. It's not on the normal shelf, it's just kinda sitting in the middle where 9mm usually is. 9.95 box best I could figure reading the tags.

They also have a few boxes of good stuff - 19.95 a box of 50.

They had probably had about 1k rounds of Winchester Q3131A1 5.56 there for $9.95 a box of 20. I picked up some of the CCI ammo as well [Beer]
