I found out you do not need a permit to assemble on CSU grounds. The 23rd of this month is when Tony Franks make his decision regarding the banning of CCW on campus. I have a 1-3pm window to assemble on CSU main campus the 19th (friday) any interest in attending?
this is where the rubber meets the road. what say you
here's a link to that other AR board where some discussion is taking place

I know I am out of town, but I will send it to the head republican student at UNC that is also for the CCW, so i am sure he will be there with some people. if I didn't have to work i would for sure.

yes they do. heard back last night from tim
Perfecting timing! We're actually planning on delivering our petition to the administration building on the 19th at 3:30. We'll start staging on the Oval at 3:00.
A couple things to keep in mind:
The copy of the draft that I have states that individuals can have pepper spray as long as it is not in excess of 1 ounce.
Violating the ban won't make you a criminal. However, you will be subject to disciplinary action within the university. The only way that they could turn you into a criminal is if they banned you from campus and they caught you trespassing.
With that said, you may want to revise your flyer. You could have the flyer centered around the fact that the university is treating us like second-class citizens by interfering with our right to self-defense. I've included a copy of the draft for your reference. Could you email me a copy of your revised flyer?
Thanks,
Tim Campbell
and this later on for those interested in following the on campus scene with CCW
I just sent out a message to our two facebook groups about the petition delivery. You should join SCCC at CSU on facebook. We haven't notified any university departments yet. We'll notify the police department at least a few days in advance.
