Don't know if this is the right forum but it seems appropo to the purpose of this forum.

Brady campaign whining about starbucks allowing open carry in its stores. Send emails to Starbucks supporting their decision:

And/or comment on the piece (but I think a supportive email to Starbucks will be more effective.)
Apologies if this is a repost.
What a bunch of sensationalist whiners.

Wow. GO STARBUCKS! I'm going to stop and get some on the way to work in the morning!
Ok, so I probably would have anyhow. This is just a good excuse.
I am amazed starbucks did this. I always figured the people that actually went in were there to chat about their liberalistic views and frown upon all those in the drive through wasting gas.

Guys, take a minute and send a supportive email to starbucks. Just "thanks for supporting my 2nd amendment rights, I am going to patronize your store more regularly because of it" or something like that. If enough of us do that it'll make a big difference.

I sent them an email using the form, and also posted these links on another forum (a more national one) where they were already discussing this topic..

But what about the rights of everyone else who wishes to be free from lethal weapons in public places, except for trained law enforcement?
Hmm. What right is that exactly? The "It Doesn't Exist" Amendment?

With pressure from the Brady Bunch, I wonder how long this liberal-oriented company will maintain this policy?
Emailed corp, told them I've started including Starbucks in my morning routine only because of this. I neglected to mention that I can't stand their coffee and always considered them a plague. But their breakfast sandwich is pretty good (McD's could learn a little something from them).
If they back down I'll have to go back to Sonic cholesterol bombs

It took 2 liberal morons to write that first link's piece of trash?
Haha, very funny robsterclaw, I had similar thoughts.
Here is the email response I got from Starbucks today:
Hello Irving,
Thanks for contacting Starbucks Coffee Company.
For Starbucks, the safety of our customers and partners is a paramount concern. We have existing security protocols in place to handle situations related to safety in our stores. We will continue to adhere closely to local, state and federal laws and the counsel of law enforcement regarding this issue.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.
Warm Regards,
Alyssa R.

Wow, that's nearly as personal and on topic as what I get when I write to my congresscritters.
Yeah, at least on the Starbucks page when I submitted the email, I got to pick the "security" category, so they at least knew which template to use. Unlike when I write to a congressman and tell them not to vote for some anti-gun bill, they tell me about all the jobs they've created this year.
