I was up at the North Site today. Ranger came by and checked on us to make sure we were aware of the new rules. I asked about bio-degradable clays and she said they take a LONG time to degrade because it is so dry around here. Basically, and I'm preaching to the choir, you pack it in, you pack it out.

She told us a little story about some guys who brought 5 or 7 TVs up to shoot, planning on leaving the TVs of course, you know because the range doubles as the dump. Well the TVs went back with the people who brought them.

I helped another shooter remove a 55 gallon drum, he had grabbed some videotape that was blowing away, otherwise a couple of inches of snow covered everything.

Oh yeah, I had fun shooting my S&W 28-2 4", CZ97, and Browning BDA 45ACP.

I'm glad they're policing it really helps keep the scum away.

hopefully we don't have to start picking up the small circles of cardboard/paper from the targets...

last I was there, 100's or 1000's of small pumpkins/gourds(sp) were everywhere, can't believe someone hauled all them up the trail from the road to just shoot them... lot a work for not much fun..

Bowling Pins seem a favorite too. I don't get that one either?

I just hope the trash leaving hillbillies stay away.

I was up there this morning and and a ranger stopped by for a quickie, but saw that we had our own catch tarp and brought proper targets. Gave us a wave and took off. It looks much better than it has, but there still is a bunch o chit up there hanging off trees and such. We filled up two 55 gal bags of plastic jugs, bottles, cans and what ever else could fit in the bag and trucked it down.

Tons of clays though. Shotgun shells dominated the clutter up there too.

Shotgun shells. The easiest things to see and pick up, and yet they are always everywhere.
