This guy is just trying to be prepared for bad times, and his girlfriend reports him to the jackbooted thugs running Taxachussets, and his life is ruined. What has this country come to?
As long as women are involved there will be consquences.

Just watched one of the videos on youtube and the announcer said that his wife is getting a restraining order...but for what? Did he ever threaten her? I would say the only laws he should be charged with is owning the gas grenades (which is illegal) and firing within city limits.
That is such BS, people are so stupid.
I once was in line at home depot with about 20 of those 9 inch large nails being used for tent spikes but the lady behind me wouldn't come near me and asked, "are those weapons?" Apparently I looked really menacing handing the nails over to the clerk who was scanning them. I responded "no they are nails. Anything can be used as a weapon but this time I am using them as tent stakes." I am sure she heard me when I called her an idiot while walking away from the cashier.
" Why did you eat the forbidden fruit"
"Adam made me do it"

I think it all depends on where you are. If I were in Denver proper or Colorado Springs I might think about it. Here in El paso county unless your digging anti tank trenches and have 20 miles of razor wire I highly doubt it at present.
I have had many interactions with the deputies here (all good) and all of them that I have met are big 2nd supporters.

I don't have any guns.
I thought you were on the shore when my boat capsized in the lake? I was just trying to get them to the other side.

Part is having 5 military bases and all the current and former military here. I have 2 AD and 6 retired within a block.

You should change your username to Scary Larry. I'm sure that woman was positive that you were going to take those big ol' honkin' nails and put them in a baseball bat to beat children and kittens with!

Ha ha ha, couldn't stop laughing!!!
Yeah you know me...i'm that guy that keeps buying all the nails at home depot to make nail bats and hit children with them. Sometimes I go to Lowes, but I prefer Home Depot, I just feel they have a better nail selection and somewhat lower prices. When you beat as many children with nail bats as I do, low prices and selection are extremely important....
I still can't believe that is what came across her mind

Let me know when you have some spare time.
I know of a few people that could use a good nail bat beating.

I think the Katrina thing was brought up on another thread, but its good to know where your local law stands. Mentioned before I lived there during that debacle. Contrary to popular belief, it was the local Jefferson Parish[(county)adjacent to New Orleans] sheriff Harry Lee who illegally confiscated guns(and got his departments a$$ sued off by the NRA). On the other hand where I was 20mi north, the other side of Lake Pontchartrain, in suburbs bordering rural, Every other house that had someone left had a "don't loot or we'll shoot" sign spray painted on plywood that is used to board up windows(became pretty entertaining). I smile knowing I'm in Teller county with it's cold dead hands mentality. Cowboys and retired govt' spooks.
Could this ever happen here?, or to you? The answer is YES. I understand as well as all of you here, that we all share common interests. Not just guns, or blowing things up, but many topics which are valid in this day and age.
Here's my view on the situation, in the Navy they have a saying, "Loose lips sink ships". I like to think I have a fairly high level of "Situational Awareness". Always looking for an out observing peoples actions etc. In my family, we exercise what has been coined as "The circle of trust". By that I mean what happens, or is said in our family, STAYS in our family. I taught my children young, the safe handling of weapons, and thier use at the proper time. My kids know.... That it is not cool, to tell all the neighbors and friends Daddy has guns and Military training. Why?, because they tell two friends, and they tell two friends, etc. etc.
If you think about the mindset, if there is one other than ignorance of the public at large, everbody wants to tell everybody else how to live, raise your children, etc. The scary part is, all that it would take is one person hearing this information, and like the kids game of pass the secret, by the time it gets around, you will be planted firmly in the middle of your own "Ruby Ridge"... I think of this scenario often, and yes, maybe a small degree of paranoid thought enters. But look at what's going on and how easy this COULD actually happen to one of us..
As always just my two cents, and I do enjoy seeing your entire collections of weapons..... Just kidding. I really do enjoy it, however the are minimum security standards I impose, prior to even admitting in public I known what a "Black Gun", looks like.

+1 My wife has always given me a hard time with my Barney Fife neighborhood watch attitude (alert senses whenever I hear anything and going to check it out). After she saw me react to the vandals in my neighborhood and I called it right that they were up to no good, she finally said that she now trusts my instincts on these things.
