A reply in the CCW section prompted me to vent a few things.

First, you do not sale and item, you sell it.

You shoot straight, not strate.

Fake suppressors are really dumb (I mean really, you paid real money for a fake suppressor?)

A bullet does not go throw something, it goes through it (unless it's underpowered then it just sticks in it).

My spelling and gammer is in no way perfect, but these are the basics. Even the ESL kids have figured this stuff out.

As a practical tip, Firefox internet browser is not only safer than IE, it also highlights misspelled words with a red underline. You can right click to pick the correct spelling. It doesn't solve the "right to bare arms" problem, but at least it'll be spelled the right way. ;)

Oh, and it's free. http://www.getfirefox.com

One I have always enjoyed on message boards is when a poster confidently proclaims they're a 'genious'.

And apropos of nothing, if you're at college and you can't tell the difference between 'are' and 'our,' ouch.

I have a terrible habit of judging people on their grammar and spelling though. Probably because I'm an elitist liberal.

It's the slang and texting that have gotten our kids into trouble. I'm a young guy myself but I can still form a complete sentence. One of these days I should post some of the papers I've had to grade... I've failed more kids than I've passed just because they do not know how to write.

I'm still sporting a 3.89 GPA after ~100 credits at a local college (Yeah - whoopdedo - I won't mention which one) - but I see some adults in my classes that cannot form complete sentences, much less formulate a coherent idea and present that idea in a simple PowerPoint.
Common grammatical mistakes, usage and punctuation are the norm - makes MY education and GPA seem far less valuable when others that have virtually no command of English (as their first language), manage a C in classes that require it.

I'm completing my degree at a local university, and I must say that is most of my gen ed classes and business classes I see a similar trend, and it is quite frustrating.

When I wrote my Masters Thesis, I had an English and a Language Arts professor sitting on my board... I got taken through the ringer several times and it was all for the better. Some people need to fail in order to "sukseed".

In case you could not read the text at the top, here it is in it's translated form:
"According to a ch research at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letters be at the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole."

I never spell check before I post, but I usually go look at it after it's been posted - that's when I try to edit it for grammer and spelling problems.

The biggest problem I had that I guarantee that you will see often is that I regularly mis-type "the" as "hte".
