O.K., I ordered a Stag Arms 2L today, I should be getting my cherry popped on Friday. For us Southern guys, I ordered it from the new Guns and Ammo shop in Pueblo West (Guns and Ammo is actually the name of the shop), its on the north side of the highway, east of Wally World. Now that that's done I guess it's time to start looking into "Accessories"! [AR15]

Hey John,

Great to have another P.Wester around; where are you planning on shooting it when it comes in?

More than likely I'll impose on my cousin and be his guest at the PW range. I know he recently got a DPMS and I don't think he's fired it much, so hopefully we'll both go out and play a little bit.

When I was young us kids used to go out east of Pueblo to the area around Baculite Mesa and also out to the area where Pueblo reservoir is now. But then I left for a military career and since being back I don't think or know of any place where you can just go outside of the city limit and do some "testing". Such is the price of progress, I guess. [Mad]

Congrats, please let us know (with pics) how it runs. I have a Stag and I love it, but I have some lefty family members who struggle with it, so if its a good option I may look into it. I'm curious if it being opposite would cause reliability issues...not sure how, but I dunno.

I've heard that some guy in his 70's owns all of Baculite Mesa, and that he and his friends are big into shooting .50 BMG sniper rifles, and have a range up there marked out beyond 1000 yards. Of course, I haven't seen it myself, and the person who told me also said they have lots of NO TRESPASSING / TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT signs posted around, so I haven't really gone out there to explore.

I'd sure love to watch those things run, though. A reason to double up the ear protection I'm sure.

Careful, there's a million options and in the end, the cost of those accessories will kill you.

I'm one of the few "friends" that is allowed out there, everyone can thank kids drinking and leaving their bottles, dirt bikers tearing up the grass, and chasing the livestock, trash dumpers, poachers who leave antelope and deer, and sometimes even my buddys cattle dead, and people who shoot anything they can put in their truck's, and leave there when they finish. for the fencing, game cameras, and signs out there. I've been going out there for 15 years and it got real bad. we still have to repair cut fence, and pick up trach and home furnshings all the time. if people would have been more respectful belive me it would have not come to this. they are nice people and avid shooters, and a few bad apples took them to their limits. BTW: welcome to the forums!![Beer]

Welcome!

The accessories will only half kill you. More AR's will do the rest!
