I must say it's been many years since I researched a small pocket Firearm. When I last did some checking the Seecamp .380 seemed to be a good choice but very tough to get a hold of. Seems now there are many on the market but I was wondering if there's another firearm that might be good to check out before I make my purchase.

Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

I really enjoy this forum.

Rohrbaugh's are amazingly nice pocket pistols, but damn son, you are gonna pay for that nice part. Best trigger I ever felt on a pocket pistol. Better than most standard sized pistols on the market.

Heve you consider a Ruger LCP? I own 2 of them and I'm very happy with the accuracy and they're very light too!!

Also consider Keltec P3-AT, P32, or PF9....inexpensive, reliable and very light. The PF9 is not at all pleasant to shoot, but packs full power 9mm in a package smaller and much lighter than a PPK.

Thank you all. I'll let you know what I go with. The Rohrbaugh looks to be priced over $1000 with the Ruger under $400 and the Keltec under $300.

Next question--what are the chances of being able to try them out before purchase?

I know Firing line in Aurora is a Kahr and Keltec dealer, and they rent range guns, but I don't know if they rent the Keltecs...

I'm headed over there this afternoon to wring out one of my new toys, so I'll try to remember to ask, and post up.

Went to Firing Line yesterday. No Keltec rentals at this time. Actually, I didn't see ANY subcompact carry pistols in their rental "fleet", but they may have been out on the range, as they were extremely busy. I shot my P11 (about 100 rounds, various ammo), and my full size Baby Eagle. I'll post up on the P11 in a separate post to avoid derailing your post any further. [Beer]

I really enjoy this forum.

I have a sweet little LCP w/the Crimson Trace grips, great pocket carry. I also own a Taurus PT709 and it is a sweet slim 9mm, but too big for pocket carry.

I used to own a Kel-Tec PF9, and that was a great carry gun. The recoil is stout, but it works well, and almost fits well in the pocket.

A friend of mine has the Kahr CM9, and that is a really sweet shooter as well.

It's a buyers market!

I think I've got a couple of Rohrbaughs banging around in the junk drawer in my kitchen, let me go check...

On a serious note, I've seen used Rohrbaughs at 5280 Armory, and I think maybe Green Mountain Guns.
