View Full Version : Springfield XDm 3.8" barrel!

All right folks! This is what I've been wanting ever since Springfield came out with the XDm. It's a version with a shorter, 3.8" barrel rather than the original 4.5". XDMs have the highest ammo capacity for the grip size than any other pistol (correct me if I am wrong please). The only way I can think of to improve it would be no grip and trigger safety and an added thumb safety (I think the grip and trigger safeties feel... distracting? strange I guess?)

What is the allure of this set up? I've seen it on other guns where people mate compact slides to full size frames.

I wouldn't ever tell anyone not to do it, nor would I turn down a gun set up like that. It's really a non-issue, I just don't understand the initial desire. Maybe I'll understand after handling one or something. Are you still liking yours Graves?
