I introduce the Battle Mug
http://shop.hero-gear.com/browse.cfm/battlemug/4,358.html

http://shop.hero-gear.com/prodimg/IMG_2150.jpg

Battle Mug starts as a 13.5 pound solid block of 6061 T6 billet aluminum before it enters a state of the art CNC facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This facility produces specialized parts and equipment for the U.S. Department of Defense, major weapons manufacturers, NASA, and a host of other companies working at the U.S. Rocket and Space Center. Built to military specifications, Battle Mug features a M1913 rail interface system which allows the operator to mount a standard issue M4 carry handle, tactical light, laser device, holographic sight (we call them "beer goggles") or even a bayonet for close quarters, high risk operations.
Each individually serialized Battle Mug features Mil-Spec Type III anodizing and a crenelated base and is built with the operator in mind. Whether you are fighting drug lords deep inside the jungles of Colombia, stomping out Al Qaida terrorists in Falluja Iraq, or eradicating no-good hippies in Berkeley, California...
Battle Mug is built to take the abuse and will be there to offer you a frosty 24oz. reward once the mission is complete.
MADE IN USA
To honor our warfighters currently deployed overseas, Hero-Gear is proud to offer FREE SHIPPING TO YOUR APO ADDRESS on Battle Mug.

$279 is pretty steep. Outta my range but I'd buy one if I could.

Looks like they are pricing it for soldiers over seas with nothing better to spend their battle pay on.

For $279 the carry handle REALLY ought to be included!

The 1913 rail spec is open... so all we need is to whip up a design in some CAD/CAM software and have it fabbed. There are quite a few places that can print any 3d objects out of a variety of materials.

I'm going to carve mine out of wood, so I know how to make them in the event of TEOTWAWKI.

I may actually try this. It will probably be a pine mug with mahogany 1913 rail and an oak carry handle.

I am not sure awesome and "world of warcraft" are allowed to be in the same sentence, especially on this forum.

I know, I've been dying to ask how many people on here have read Harry Potter, but I'm sure the site is full of a bunch of people who think it is a kid's book. Oh well, I'll live.

I'm on my second time through because I'm reading them to the lady. I couldn't believe how relevant the series is to common topics on this forum, especially book 5. Incredible series.

Okay, back to talking about cups.

I don't read much but have watched a few of the movies on TV while at hotels and was interested enough to watch them all the way through. Might be a book I would enjoy. lately I don't read much unless it is like an autobiography, or economics based and of course gun/war based.

Yeah I read Freakonomics too. :p

If you liked the Harry Potter movies, I encourage you to read the books. Hollywoods interpretation of the Harry Potter books is the equivalent of Puff Daddy's interpretation of Kashmir. In other words, terrible compared to the original.

If you make it past the second book, I think you'll finish the series.
