was listening to the radio about this....they brought up some website and the guy running it with self defense classes and buying pepper spray.

why not allow CCW and give some weapons training...get the guys buried and save the toxic ozone killing spray!

love the end of the vid, newscaster asks reporter what people can do to keep themselves safe and she says "Take the earphones out of your ears, don't play around on your iphone or ipod and pay attention"

Kind of surprising at the Inn, there is always a couple of security guards in the lobby and a resident has to come down to let you in....

true, but they want folks to be good witnesses rather then defending themselves.

I think they should hold another town hall meeting so students can talk about how they feel and all sorts of ineffective ways to keep students safe. Being able to express my feelings with others always helps me to feel better and safer.

Isn't it ironic that the state has actually given at least some of the students a solution to their personal safety yet the school administrators take that solution away...sometimes (not necessarily with the Auraria campus) in probable violation of state law? Then they're surprised by all the violence.
