Why does the Dept of Education need to buy 27 Short Barrel Shotguns? The answer: is because they're compatible with the shotgun inventory they already have!!! WTF is going on with this .gov????

And I though I went to a tough school.....[LOL]
Actually, I went to Lakewood...about as suburban as it got in those days....
Wow... The IRS, and now the ED Dept....
maybe it is a step for them to create more security on schools?
AHHhhh but can they afford the ammo??

It is Chicago.
Somebody better tell Obama...
It is Chicago.
Yeah I saw that...they are going to need a lot more than 17 shotguns, but it could be a step in the right direction

17 for ONE school, 1700 for all the schools.
I see where it's the US Dept. of Education buying them, with a delivery address in Chicago, but I don't see the part that mentions any certain school, or schools. Where's that at?
But, I agree. WTF does the Dept. of Education need twenty-seven 14" barrelled Remington 870's for?

have you been to some chicago schools? think the worst denver school you can and multiply the oh shit factor by at least 3
and it isn't for just one school. they were for one address but that doesn't mean one school.

I wish I could afford 27 SBS, I'd patrol my local high school for free.

Apparently THEY can, but not us great unwashed masses.
Fourteen inch 12ga. shotguns? WTF.....
$5 says one of these shotties "accidently" ends up in a gangbangers hand and is used in a kid murder within 6 months of delivery.
Any takers?

The Los Angeles Unified School District has their own police force, sworn uniformed peace officers in unmarked cars. They also have their own SWAT team, and ERT that can do hostage negotiation, forced entry, and extraction.
What a hell hole that place is.

Interesting!
I was wondering if it could be for some training academy?

I recently read somewhere an opinion that the U.S military would never take action against the citizens of the United States, but domestic agencies would be the front line of martial law. Reports like this heap a little weight on that argument each time in my opinion.

maybe so, but you also have to remember the cops know a lot of the people, it is their family, their friends etc. etc.
Not saying some wouldn't jump on board but I bet there would be a lot of officers who said F U I am going home
