Hard to say,, You might get laughed at for your choices...[Tooth] If they are of newer vintage either one would work. I have an older Sigma in .40 that I got in partial trade. Nice little gun, I have had no problems with it.. No experiance with Taurus semis, I do have two Taurus revolvers though, And, I would swear by them..

I had a PT111 Mill. Pro I put 3,000 rnds through it. Without a hic-cup. My wife has one also and loves it.

Find a used M&P, and Sig, HK or even a glock. I wouldnt trust my life to a sigma or taurus (with exception to a well tested PT1911)

I have a Taurus Revolver and after 100 rds of WWB it went back to Taurus with a locked up Cylinder, I don't trust Taurus with my life, I would take a smith any day, I went from semi to wheel guns and flip flop with them. I like my smiths and XD's

The PT-111 is a very good gun. Must have shot 1,500 rounds with one i had, never jammed. Good ccw, easy to clean and fairy cheap.

It's amazing how many people will trash a certain brand firearm with little or no experience.

I have given up on S&W and will only own Taurus wheel guns over S&W.
The current triggers are as good as you get from the S&W performance shop. QC and cost cutting measures are just not the same in current model S&W revolvers.. and haven't been for say 10 years. Old Smith's are the bomb though.(read great)

Taurus pistols are just as reliable. After owning a few dozen over the years, I can say the quality continues to increase.

As far as choosing between the Sigma and the Millenium Pro... tough call. Which ever one feels better to you. For me it would be a the Taurus. Still have a bad taste in my mouth even for S&W pistols after all the slide cracking issues in the 5906's sold/issued to police departments. (BTW it took years to clear up that issue with threats of lawsuits for S&W to step up and repair/replace those guns)

I have a Taurus PT 145 pro (.45acp) and I can tell you, it DOES NOT like flat tipped hollow points. The feed ramp is such a severe angle, due to it being such a short gun, that the rounds just jam on the bottom of the feed ramp. It will eat ball ammo all day though.

I had to switch to Hornady critical defense rounds, as they are expanding rounds that are shaped like ball ammo.

All the hydrashocks I tried just jammed up on me.
