I've been reloading 180gr .40s&w for my STI edge the last 400 rounds. execpt for the first 100 (didn't size the bullets correctly) they run pretty good, but I was paying $23 for 100 bullets of 180gr Remi from SS&S. (I know, I know...)

Well today I stop at this new place in Pueblo and they had .40s&w Full lead bullets for fraction of the cost, So I ended up buying a bag to test it out.

What should I expect when loading full lead bullets vs. FMJ for my STI? anything different? or dont do it? or what?

I just try and not push the lead too fast. I have great luck with Lasercast but not fond of the price. some cast are great and some are so-so. A good lead cast bullet will be every bit as accurate as the jacketed ones.

A good cast bullet with the right lube and the right speed will not lead the barrel at all.

Good to know, I am gonna use these for Steel challenge and 3gun since theres no PF (and i'm cheap when it comes to powder :P)
