I usually try to make these, but we'll be heading up to Indian Springs for the lady's birthday that night. I should tell my buddy that usually goes as well...

I am wondering about the holster rule - my holsters do not cover ejection port fully and do not have retention strap etc. Would not want to buy new holster just that one match..
Is it ok to use this : http://www.blade-tech.com/Drop-Offset-Holster-pr-1024.html

That should be fine i have a Black hawk holster similar to the link you posted! and a cheap 5 dollar AMS paddle holster with nothing but gravity holding it in i don't think mine covers the ejection port to be honest i cant recall it is back home! as long as it hold the firearm securely you should be fine i do know leg holsters aren't aloud. i can shoot the match coordinator an email and ask if you want?

no matter what if you show up they will let you shoot if I'm not mistaken new shooters shoot free, so you can get accustom to the rules and match being a new shooter to this match they will set you up with some one who has been shooting there for a while to help walk though everything! 3-5 Min's of shooting two stages 40-60 rounds and 3 hours of bullshitting! sounds like a good night to me.[Coffee]

None of my holsters have a retention strap, in fact I don't think I've even seen any there that do. Not that I pay that close of attention.

I've only done one Friday night match and I didn't enjoy it much because everything that night was A zone (the eyes) and while I tend to shoot straight, I always shoot low, so I couldn't hit anything. I always feel like an idiot after a match, but I'm not going to get any better by sitting at home worrying about it.

well thats unfortanuite stuart this match should be C zone or better with two hits! being its an easy match!

Yeah, I specifically remember my friend telling me that I was starting on a "Hard" night. I hit a bunch of hostages.

There is a new game on WiiWare that have archery, pistol target shooting, and rifle shooting, all competition style. I guess I better get the game and mount my WiiMote on the picatinny rail of my pistol and get some weekday training in.

I plan on being there tonight as well. I'm going to be running my CZ with untested new springs AND untested ammo. Hope it's not a complete failure. I guess I'll find out.

I left my office at 4:30 thinking I had to be there at 5:00. I swore all the way to the bank, then to my house, then to Boulder, only to arrive at 5:45pm and find out it doesn't start till 7:00pm and I had an hour and fifteen to kill. I met up with Coop and Cha-lee. I had seen Charlie there before, and remember him from my very first shoot there, just didn't know it was him. Helped that he was wearing a Panda shirt tonight though.

I ended up doing okay and placed better than nearly everyone....who's gun broke.

Fun match tonight. I like it when they make you use the grey matter between your ears. I also like the one off targets to shoot, that egg was a really cool shooting challenge for the final shot of the stage.

Irving
04-02-2010, 23:23
I actually got much much closer to hitting that egg than I thought I would. I was really surprised. I was telling coop they should have a stage where you have to do like 20 push ups right before you start shooting or something to simulate adrenaline. Something tells me a lot of those guys wouldn't like that idea much though... :D

CHA-LEE
04-02-2010, 23:44
Yeah, I don't think they would like the mandatory pushups thing....... [Weight]

I went home and the lady wasn't expecting me for hours, I probably could have stuck around. They told me to sign up as B class. Not surprised about Charlie, he was able to shoot fast AND on target from what I saw. Very nice to meet you guys.

That is complete bullshit.

You paid your match fee like everyone else.

Must be a Republic of Boulder thing.

There is a universal login and password to see the results posted on their website. Send me a PM if you want the login information. Listed below is their website. Go there and click on the "Match Results" link and it will prompt you to login. Once you login you can see the results. I think they have a password on the results to hide peoples names from the general public. That way anyone coming to their site can't just see what John Doe is doing.

Yup, scores are posted.
I see "someone" shot it in 86 seconds (2nd place) "someone" else in 33.
Next closest is 66 seconds.
Sounds about right.

I have said before that "someone" doesn't need a machine pistol to.....
SLOW HIM DOWN.
[ROFL3][ROFL3][ROFL3]

I do wonder how he went from 33.44 to a final score of 28.44?
Hmmmmmm..........

Has to do with misses and no shoots, procedural adding to the scores! I'm sure I'm just restating what you probably know! penalties are pretty high

There was a bonus target shooting an Easter egg -5 seconds to your score on one of the stages. you had one round to shoot the egg was your final target one the first stage! which would explain the 5 sec difference
