View Full Version : How many Watches do you own?

As I was taking off my current watch to put on my Workout watch, I notice I have a sort of collection of watches that I never meant to put together. Just seems of years of losing them, breaking them, replacing them, then finding them at a later time has the side of my desk full of watches. I have:

Suunto, Basically my everyday work watch.
Guess, Stainless black polished watch that I wear when I dress up.
Timex Ironman, for working out at the gym.
Polar HR, First heart rate monitor watch when I was doing HR Training.
Polar RS100, HR monitor that was designed for running bicycling, (so I didn't have to wear 2 watches at one time)

About 20 Mickey and 3 Citizen Eco drives. I only where 2 of them. Probably should get rid of the ones I don't wear so I can buy new one. I love watches more than purses.

I have 2 Timex Expeditions for work/shooting/etc. I have 2 Seiko Kinetics for other stuff, and then I have about three antique pocket watches that I inherited over the years.

Last year I got rid of several that had accumulated over the years.

I own 4 or 5 but I really only wear one.

I detest cheap, junk watches and my wife loves buying inexpensive junk watches ... so over the years she kept buying them and eventually realized that all I ever wear is my Seiko.

I have about 8 - 10 watches. 4 of them aren't working - need to get them fixed. 2 of the working watches are Fossil watches. That's about as fancy as I can afford. 3 of the watches are "Adanac" watches (http://www.broadarrow.net/adanac.htm).

okay okay...it wasn't for me, it was for the fiance and she has been dying for a new coach purse...I started the addiction.[Bang]

Oh, you poor, dumb man! You got her started on Coach purses? Why don't you get her a Doone & Bourke while you're at it? My wife has several of each (she has more coach purses AND more Doone & Bourke purses that I have semi-auto handguns).

Yeah, good luck with the addiction you created. One day we'll have to sit down with a few beers and reminisce about the days we still had $$ to buy guns!

Only one. I have a Citizen Eco-Drive...not exactly sure what model it is but it is very simple and I love it. I only wish I could find a black one with continuous glow in the dark hands...that would be awesome.

Aw come on guys let's give Sniper some credit for liking purses. They say a woman always carries her mans b@//$ in her purse. Maybe he likes them because he wants his.... to look good. That's probably why he got her started on purses.[ROFL1]

well if that is the case I am glad this one is nice soft leather with an extra security pocket because I want them to be protected and comfortable!

she got started on the purses thanks to me giving in...I bought a nice new gun, she wanted a purse and basically guilted me into getting it for her. that, and one of her co-workers got a new purse and was blabbing about it...and I didn't like that co-worker so I got her a badass purse so she could go in and make the co-workers purse look like a piece of shit! i succeeded, she was happy and the co-worked was silenced![Beer]

One of the things I learned when living in Africa was Americans always have big watches, they are always concerned with time and in a hurry.

I guess I stopped wearing watches around that time. I didnt want to stand out any more than I already did.

I can see their point. it is amazing how people are attached to their phones, to the clock and always on a huge time crunch. I am one of them most of the time.

One of the cell phone crowd. [Shy]

I could easily collect vintage watches but the "time/space/money" factor comes into play. The only watch I still have is an early Timex Indiglo Sport.

Should we change the thread to "what is your favorite purse to carry?" I have heard: Doone and Burke, Kate spade, and Coach. Any Louis Vuttion takers out there? How about Burberry? LOL.

I am looking at a new watch now. I wear a Rolex Submariner now (blue face), but would like something a little more rugged for shooting, etc. Does anyone know about Suunto, any good?

It's much like our brainwashing to always answer the telphone when it rings - especially cell phones. I'm working on screening my calls and only answering the ones I recognize and desire to answer.

it is funny when you are around a large group of people...like on a train or something. then go through your ring tones periodically and test them...then watch the amount of people that reach for their phones! i get amused with this[ROFL1]

it is a lot of fun, you should try it! It is amazing at the number of people that don't pay attention until their ring is heard then all of a sudden they are hunting for their phone, searching, finally find it, then have a disappointed look that they weren't the ones with the call[ROFL3]
