I am too tired and lazy to go into that URL, why did they change their name? Went to bed last night around 4 AM it was still Google, wake up at 3PM and it's Topeka, like the capital of Kansas! But not in Kansas...

Well, all I can say is that it's about time, but I must admit I'm a bit surprised.

It was my understanding that they were going to go with "Cleveland" in an effort to raise awareness of all the Ohio city has to offer.

The websites "Evolution" team toyed with many other ideas such as Punxsutawney and The Big Easy, finally deciding on something easier to remember and enter into a web browser.

Why would an entrenched institution like Topeka change it's name to a totally nonsense name like Google ?

it was just for fun!

and topeka holds googles headquarters...which basically runs the city due to the amount of money brought in.
