So drag race season is coming up..... quick

Our family team is Kmoochy Racing. It's my Grandpa, Uncle, Cousin, Sister/ brother in law, a friend and myself.

We're running a 5+ man team this year at Bandimere in the Club Clash series and could use some more people on the team.

We race for team points, and Individual points if you register your car.

It's bracket style racing so you can run anything from a 10 second 1/4 mile run up to 25 seconds if you don't mind getting made fun of a bit. It's split into 2 categories 13.99 and faster, and 14.00 and slower.

consistent is more important than fast and it's all just for fun!

We all run Mustangs, and prefer Ford... but we will settle for other vehicles, preferably muscle not rice.

Racing starts at the end of April and usually runs till October approximately 1-2 times a month.

Most races are Friday nights. We show up around 4 p.m. and run until 12ish a.m.

you get 2 "dial in" runs, then eliminations start.

Cost is around 35$ a race. You don't need to attend every race if you don't want.

contact me if interested.

I did club clash one year. Our club name was High Altitude Imports (like the website) and my cousin raced his 1996 Ford F-250 with us.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Its been a couple years since I've taken anything to Bandimere.... I would be interested in joining the team and taking my bike down the track since I am fairly consistent between 11.9 and 12.0 with the occasional 11.8. But I will not be able to participate.... I am already doing too much and starting my first racing season with motorcycle road racing. This wil surely suck up any money i have separate from my gun need list.

It's fun. I did it one time with my charger. My problem was I was always trying to beat my best time and not 'hit the mark' [Driver]
This is me in the red charger racing a classic charger. I was victorious

Do you ever run a the Pueblo Motorsports Park? If so, I'll come down and watch. I don't really need to beat up my 10 year old sedan on the track I think. And it'd probably be lucky to turn in a 25 with a little old 4 banger.

we don't make it down to pueblo much, but my cousin runs a 4 banger mustang and runs 20's.... he gets some flack but always has fun.

Don't let image or pride keep you from taking what you got to Bandimere.... I have taken some pretty slow vehicles there and the adrenaline rush and experiance is well worth it.

Just being staged at the tree and working on your reaction time of your body and your car and having a small edge of competition is a good time.

that does sound like fun. I always wanted to take my truck out...but then again i could just go on a back country road because I won't hit over a 100[Bang]

When I raced the first year I was running 17.00 quarter mile times.
The next year I had my car turbocharged and was running consistent 14.00s at 106 mph.
My best time was a 13.8, and if I could drive better I should have been a lot faster with those trap speeds.

This was in my 1990 Acura Integra. I miss that car.

if i was able to do this, this year, I would take my truck and bike. And I would let those that haven't ever been in a car down the track, ride with me in my truck. Its quite the experiance. I've never taken my truck down bandimere... its a tuned diesel so I am sure it would post something in the 15s or 16s. I know the OBDII reader I have can track 0-60 times based on the ECU and such and from memory, it reads about a 5.5 or 6.0 sec time.... its tons(In every meaning) of fun.

Oh and I would also highly recommend those who have never been in person to a drag strip, to go once to spectate.... My mom who has no interest in racing or is not a gear head. Loves watching, hearing, feeling them in person. She plays her own little game of guessing the winner.... "I think the yellow one there on the right is gonna win." LOL....

sounds like a blast! I remember watching the tractor pulls and they had a suped up twin turbo diesel GMC. they said it could run 12s or 13s. not sure if that is true, but the amount of black smoke it dumped out the semi-like exhausts was pretty damn cool to watch

My cousin's totally stock 1996 Ford F-250 was running a 16.8 back then.

ATS Diesel usually comes out and runs their 11-12 second trucks. They probably have one in the 10's by now as it's been like 5 years since I've been out. Running 12's in a diesel truck is cake.

My powerstroke I pull my car to the track with could probably stomp on my mustang at this point.

My mechanic that helped my build my car had a newer Ford F-250 that was all souped up. When my car went on his trailer to the exhaust shop, he punched it and I was certain that was the fastest that car had ever gone in it's existence. lol

Here is that same guy's Honda Element beating a Mustang at Bandimere in 2008. Hope it gives you some inspiration to race this season. Or, it's for sale if you want to buy it. ;)
