View Full Version : Brownells banner ad on Gazette.com?
Is there some computer magic going on that targets the ads, or could this just be a coincidence? The the ad doesn't mention what they sell, just the name, so it would only be effective with previous customers.
It clicks through to free shipping for orders over a certain amount

I dont know much about computers, but I think it is all targeted advertising with cookies from the websites you visit.
basically every website I go to, now has banner ads for Harley Davidson, Cabelas, etc. I happen to go to a website and instantly that ad pops up everywhere I go. I went to the gazette, and only the airline ad was there for me.

I've been running the AdBlock Plus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865) extension for Firefox for so long that I almost never see banner ads anymore. :)
