I plan to hunt the normal small game such as coyote, prarie dogs, squirrels, rabbits. rattlesnakes, and bobcats. My question is do I have to buy a furbearer license to harvest a bobcat if I already have a small game license? Or is a bobcat included in small game?

If you already have a small game you do not need a fur-bearer but there is a new stipulation.

4. To take furbearers, you must have either a furbearer or small game
license.

BOBCAT SEALS
NEW FOR 2009: All bobcats or their pelts must be personally presented by
licensee for inspection and sealing by the DOWwithin 30 days after take or
within 5 days after the season closes, whichever is sooner. Any bobcat
hide/pelt without a seal within 5 days after the season closes is illegal and
becomes the property of the state. Seals will be placed only on bobcats
taken legally in Colorado. Inspection and sealing is free, and seals must stay
attached to hide until processed. Bobcat hides/pelts cannot be transported,
shipped or othewise taken from Colorado until inspected and sealed. It is
illegal to buy, sell, trade or barter an untanned bobcat hide/pelt without a
seal. One seal per hide/pelt. Contact a DOW office.

currently you can hunt bobcat with a small game license, it didnt used to be that way. last year there were alot more species opened up for hunting. gray fox and pine marten were not legal until this last season, and some others.

the season on furbearers with a few exceptions runs from november 1 to february 28. coyote is open year round. beaver is october 1 to i think the end of march, fox, marten and most others open up on november 1. bobcat is usually december 1.

these days with the way the regulations are, a small game license is what you want, you can get a furbearer license, but it is not good for other small game like squirrels and rabbits. i am not totally well versed on the differences but i dont see any reason to get a furbearer's license.
