This is a very family oriented event. It is not a bunch of rambo wannabes. A lot of families have places on the line. The venders that rent the guns are used to working with inexperienced shooters and younger shooters.

There will be over 200 machine guns there, many of them available to rent. They range from WW 1 to 1986 vintage and a lot of different countries. Calibers range from fully automatic 9mm Glock pistols to 30 mm anti tank rifles to 90mm cannon. There is a large variety of other guns too.

The will be exploding targets and some moving targets. There are targets out to a mile.

Shooting is rain or shine and continues into dusk so you can really see the tracers well.

There is a BYOG (Bring Your Own Gun) position for those that want to shoot their own gun. There is a charge for the BYOG. The contact details are on the webbsite that MB888 posted for info.

It's a blast.

i might be able to get away with that! but I'm 400 miles away from home than if I'm correct another 215 miles away from the shoot so I'm looking at a shit ton of gas, being in college i don't really have the funds to afford to shoot anything there to begin with! [BooHoo] if i went to the shoot straight from school would be 5 and half house give or take but that's still a full tank of gas both ways! and the fact i have finals the week after that shoot![Help]

Seriously, it's a great time! I'm thinking about it, but it cost me a buttload o' cash when the grandson and I went in '08. Most of it spent on him, of course. But how many 11 year olds get to shoot an M2HB, a Maxim, an AK47, two MP5's, twin 1919's, and I can't even remember what else.

I'm tempted to go and take my wife with but all this talk about needing to take thousands in cash to have a good time is scaring me off. If it's too much I'll just put the money towards a firearm that I can keep. Won't be FA but it will be mine whenever I want to shoot it.

It is generally like $20 per mag to shoot a FA. I paid $10 to shoot a full mag out of a regular ole HK handgun, but it was suppressed. Then I paid another $10 to shoot a full mag out of a suppressed Mac-10. Then I paid $5 to shoot a Barrett (one shot) and another $5 for a shined up .50 BMG with a punched primer and seated bullet.
