Stopped by Bravo Arms, just off of Union and Pikes Peak. Nice store, carry mostly high end tactical stuff including the entire Barrett line, EDM Windrunners, and AR piston guns by various mfgs. Also have the GG&G line of accessories. Pistols are the usual LE fare. Have one of the first black FN SCAR guns I have seen. 719-357-9882 www.bravoarms.com

Very cool, I tried to stop by one time but closed, will do so again. A friend say he is a local doc with a gun habit.

Entering thru the back door of a shop, down the stairs with an open sign hanging, entering a bunker of guns comes heaven in the form of a gun shop.
Bravo arms has the biggest wall o' big bang bang rifles- .416 barret, 50bmgs, 338 lupuas and so on. Bryan was in the shop this afternoon, good guy and he knew his stuff. I liked the bin of assorted magazines for XD's and glocks. Some prices were high, some were average and I saw a few things I would like to go back for when I have some cash. Ammo & guns on the shelves, what more could you ask for? I have long gone to Paradise, I may have a new shop.

Thank you for the positive input. I just joined the site and was happy to see that some folks have been stopping into our shop. As the shop's owner what I can guarantee you is the lowest prices in the state. If you see a price that looks high or if you have seen it lower somewhere else in the state, I will beat it.

We have a unique approach to the gun industry. We own our own 300 acre range. We have a demo model of every gun in our store including the very high power rifles. If you can't decide which long gun or hand gun is right for you, come to our range and try them all out until you find the best fit.

We will have pistol, rifle, and very high power range days every month. We also teach concealed carry, combative pistol, combative rifle, In Home/Out of Home Defense, self-defense, reloading and high power shooting at our range.

We are certified gunsmiths and smith all makes and models.

Our web site is almost complete; it is being updated daily. Keep checking out the calendar for upcoming events. If you want private our group lessons, give us a call and we will accommodate your needs

Wow, nice looking place on your site. Next time I'm down in the springs I'm stopping by and hopefully leaving with something. :)

BTW, how much is your CCW class if you don't mind me asking?

I stopped in today, nice selection of rifles. Also good magpul selection, liked the bin of pistol mags and lots of ammo.

I did meet Tim and if he happened to have what I was looking for today I would have purchased. I will be back.

Pricing was in line with anything else I hav seen and better than Specialty Sports.

Thumbs up for Bravo Arms here too.
I have a pistol on lay-a-way for my wife there.
I hope I get a chance to check out their range.

Sorry about the delay in responding. CCW is $150.00 for an individual includes 4 hours of range work. Cheaper group rates. Bryan is scheduling a class this week. The range session is a real learning experience. You can complete the classroom portion for $100.00 and still qualify for Colorado's CCW.

Give Bryan a call @ 3657-9882 and he can get you scheduled for a class at your convenience.

I'll have to check this place out. It's good for us COS residents to have more firearm store competition.

Maybe now I can buy a gun from someplace in my area that's doesn't mark up their firearms 30% more than the norm going prices.

Thanks,

I stopped by a couple of weeks ago. I had heard about it and wanted to check it out.

I'm very impressed. I was looking for a Magpul RVG (the vertical one) I asked Bryan about them and he said he was sold out, but would order them in. Very nice and friendly and overall a pleasant experience chatting with him about a number of things, including long range rifle, about which I know very little.

Stopped by yesterday to see if they had them and he had several of the AFG's (angled ones) in stock. We laughed a bit about me not making it clear what I wanted and he got on the phone and ordered one of what I was looking for in right then and there. I also got a Magpul MS2 sling.

If he is willing to go the extra mile for a $25 part, he will get my business for all of my more expensive needs.

Overall, I am very impressed and will be giving them all my business in the future.

Also stopped in a few days ago, had to drive around the block twice but it was worth the effort.

I'm terrible with names, but the fellow who was working there was the most cheerful and upbeat that I've ever seen working at a gunstore. And it did not seem shiny-happy-hopey-changey-fake either.

Only picked up a pistol mag, didn't trust my self control to check prices on any guns.

I have to go to the Springs today and am going to try to stop by Bravo, if timing works out.

Looking to trade my T/C Encore for a bolt action .308.

Bravo Arms is the go to shop in and around CO Springs. The people that work there are great guys. They never talk down to you and are always willing to help you or learn from you. They have great prices and a great selection. They truly do compete with anyone. I just bought a Glock 30SF frame from them and got a great price. This store is going to make the other store(s) have better customer service and prices.

If I had to give them a grade A+ all the way

Wow. I stopped by Bravo Arms this morning, just to get a feel and see if what other people here are saying is true.

It is.

Bryan was friendly, offered a greeting as soon as I hit the bottom step.

Very knowledgable and helpful. Answered all my questions with a smile, had a good conversation about guns and other issues.

Met a couple of other guys while there.

A VERY pleasant surprise especially when compared to the prices and attitude of SS&S.

Bravo Arms can plan on getting my business.

I agree with posts above, great customer service and a good prices on selection of specific rifles and pistols. Even if I have to specialty order, I will go here before I go to SS or Sportsmans again.

For those of you who wish to visit, the store is actually a house directly east of the RV retailer on the NE corner of Union and Pikes Peak. I drove by it twice!

Big +1 to Bravo Arms. I've been in there five or six times now. Once for a firearm repair, several times for ammo, and a few times for just "looking around". It really is the "place to be" in Colorado Springs if you're looking for something. The guys are always approachable and willing to help. They'll drop what they are doing to help you.

Thanks Tim, Brian, and whomever else works there.

I'll be back, definitely.

bravo is the best in the springs IMO. bryan and justin and tim were awesome and super-helpful. waited on stinkin specialty for a simple handgun for 3 months, went in to bravo and they had it in 8 days. BIG HIGH 5!!!

also (important to me! 'specially cause i can buy more), they will match/beat prices. gave them a price on the handgun i wanted and they matched it.

all around wonderful to work with, will definitely be going back in the future. keep it up gentlemen!!

First visit to BA's! Great store and had stuff I have only seen online!
Picked up a Krink Style Muzzle Break for my Draco and they ordered me a TAPCO loader I have been wanting!
The guys were great and really friendly.
I don't know why I have not stopped in sooner!
Will definitely be stopping by more often from now on!
You gotta check them out!

How come I've never seen this thread before? I get down there once in awhile, I'll have to remember to visit this place. Looks like an incredible amount of cash tied up in inventory!

Only gun shop I've been in there is on Colorado, just west of Walnut. Real close to a restaurant called Western Omelette, I think it is.

Well worth the visit, only place I know where you lay hands on some of these high cal rifles let alone a large selection of them with actual 'nice' gunshop guys.

I just wish I had more to spend there but when I do I get a fair price and they know me by name every time.

Let me just say that I'm not local in the Springs, but stopped there with an active military friend of mine, and the guys there were top notch. Even though we were just checking out what they were all about they were friendly and very open to talk. Unlike a shop I just visited today! (5280 armory, I'm talking about you)

I believe I talked with Bryan??? (tall guy black hair, really patient) while there. Thanks again Bryan, I'll be driving from Arvada for my Class III purchases.

In fact, I've sent a few your way and they re-recommended your place to others based on their visit and know a couple even bought some stuff. Sadly, I've never been by due to work schedule/location but you're on my list.

See ya' shortly and glad to have you around.

I keep a stack of their busniess cards on my desk, and not by accident.

I mill about there maybe once a week or so, and I've bought a few items from them. Bryan and Justin are ALWAYS friendly, helpful, and willing to just let me poke around for an hour or so. If I want to see anything special, they'll gladly stop and help me out.

Justin even took the time to show me what new things he thinks I'd like, and if I wanted something, they've made sure to take care of me.

The one aspect about BA that I like the most is that it's still a small shop that hasn't gone the way of "big business." I can walk in, pay my $1 and drink a soda while BS-ing with them.

Bravo Arms is definitely the best dealer I've been to in the springs. They're very friendly, helpful, and don't talk down to you when you ask a simple question (unlike specialty...*cough*) I bought my lower from them, and will most likely buy all my firearm needs from them in the future. Another +1 from me.

They were the only shop in town that had a Magpul UBR, and they only had one left. I asked if they would hold it for me until I could get down there, and they were happy to do it.

I stopped in this morning because I needed a disconnector spring and a selector spring. They didn't have any in stock, but the tall guy (sorry, forgot the name) said he might have some at home in his box o' parts and offered to bring them in on Tuesday for me if he had any.

Super nice guys and they don't act like everything you want or everything you like is the most ridiculous thing they ever heard of.

Will definitely do business with them again.

From what I understand from a buddy is that the owner looked at the state of the market and realized that it could be many months before he could get a reliable resupply of guns. With that in mind, he made the decision that it didnt make sense to keep a store open with employees just to sell accessories. So, he decided to shut the doors and sell what was left of his stock online.

That is what I've heard. I can't vouch for the accuracy, but it sounds plausible.

The second sign (printed on a computer) reads:

BOTH DAYS.
ALL SALES WILL BE IN CASH, IN FULL, AND

From their facebook page:

We apologize for going AWOL on everyone recently and our lack of communication hasn't helped. However, we have been trying to catch up with a lot of incoming and outgoing inventory and had to make a big decision on what the future will look like for Bravo Arms. As of right now, we are having a weekend opening on FEBRUARY 9th and 10th from 8am to 6pm both days. We are expecting a big weekend and hope everyone can find what they are looking for as we will have a very large selection of assault rifles, handguns, rifles, ammunition, and accessories. Following this weekend we will have the remainder of our inventory and a few new things available through our website and a website dealer (which is TBD). If you would like to contact us through the contact tab or messages on Facebook, we will respond as quickly as possible; however, even if we do have an item, it is first come, first serve. There will be no holds placed and all sales must be done in CASH, in full, and they will be final. (Please don't forget to bring cash!) We hope you can join us FEBRUARY 9th and 10th. Thank you for your support over the years and we look forward to continue our business with all of you.

The feedback has not been positive on there. They will be clearing out their inventory at "prices equal to their competitors," cash only, two days only. But they will have a bunch of AR's if you have to have them.

Sad to see.

XJ

I wonder if their business would have done better with a different location? Surely the rent was very low there, but there is a trade off when you're invisible to potential customers.

Prices were similar or better than the other local shops, selection was well planned towards their intended market, and the people were great.

Bummer

Got this in an email when I sent a message asking that they will have this weekend.

We have compact Glocks, Springfields, Kimbers, Rugers, S&Ws, and more. We have Bushmasters, Stags, Colts, and Armalites in the AR platforms. We have SLR, WASR-10s, and SGL for AK platform. We have springfield and Fulton in the M1/M14 platform. We have a lot of magazines and ammunition. We are accepting cash only. Unfortunately our prices will be high, but there will be not limit on what you can buy. Hope to see you this weekend.
