Seems half of all Americans pay no income tax. Glad that huge god-damn check I mailed to the IRS today could help support them...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36226444/ns/business-personal_finance/

I realize some people are poor and just need a break, but half of our country pays nothing while the rest of us hard working schmucks flip the bill? There are just too many entitlement programs in this country and too many worthless deadbeats standing in line to suck it all up.

OK, bitch session over...

I'm probably in that tax bracket that supposedly pays nothing in taxes, but I'm positive that I get more taken out of my check each year than I get back at the end of the year.

I don't even have issue with those who actually work but qualify for tax credits and such. I mean it does bring up a philosophical question of 'tax fairness', but at least you actually work and support yourself. My biggest beef is with the percentage that just suck up welfare, food stamps and such, pay no taxes, and then actually get a refund... Give me a fucking break.

First of all, I don't want to be that poor.

Second, I just detest all of the waste in federal spending and all of the give away programs to those that don't work.

I give it a 4/10. I think you could have cussed a lot more, the rant was relatively short but at least to the point! a few more angry smileys throughout the post would have been appreciated as well![Coffee]

I'll try harder next time. Maybe I'll drink for a while before making my next rant, that should be entertaining for you!

I make sure I have enough deductions so I don't get much of a refund, this year I got $185 in Federal refund and had to pay the state $65.

It's my money and I need it now! [ROFL1]

While there are many things to change, I would like to start with the elimination of the Federal/State withholding and pay the taxes in a lump at the end of the year.

1. I earned it and the goddamn government gets theirs before I do - Fuck that Shit. Those mealy mouthed cocksuckers are just going to give it to some godamn illegal mutherfucker or some fucking crack whore cunt on welfare with 10 kids by 10 thousand fathers.

2. People would really pitch a bitch if they only realized how much money the government is CONFISCATING from them.

The only upside to having been laid off so much last year was that it sure cut our tax liability. My wife and I have had to pay in 3 of the last 5 years and it sucks. Apparantly, once you cross a certain income threshold the govt starts to punish you.

Sometimes I think a person is better off poor than middle class. If one is poor, he qualifies for all kinds of govt freebies that someone else who makes more money has to pay for on his own. Who is really better off?

Frusterates the hell out of me.

The bottom 40 percent, on average, make a profit from the federal income tax, meaning they get more money in tax credits than they would otherwise owe in taxes. For those people, the government sends them a payment.
"We have 50 percent of people who are getting something for nothing," said Curtis Dubay, senior tax policy analyst at the Heritage Foundation.

Lots of folks even get back MORE than they put in. I could see not having to pay, but getting more back than you put in is the Robin Hoodism form of wealth re-distribution.

Of course, according to the esteemed (cough) Senator Harry Reid, paying taxes is VOLUNTARY.

First, you need to be aware of the Liberal Dictionary's definitition of the word "voluntary":
vol·un·tar·y

[vol-uhhttp://sp.ask.com/dictstatic/dictionary/graphics/luna/thinsp.pngn-ter-ee]

adjective, noun,plural-tar·ies.
–adjective 1. done, made, brought about, undertaken, etc., of one's own accord or by free choice, under penalty of law: a voluntary contribution.
2. of, pertaining to, or acting in accord with the will of the government: voluntary cooperation.
3. Law. a. acting or done with compulsion and obligation.
b. done by intention to avoid prosecution, detainment and imprisonment.
4. Physiology. subject to controlled will.

I especially love:

"You don't go to jail; some people go to jail. There are all kinds of civil penalties; if you don't pay your taxes you pay interest and you pay penalties. The fact of the matter is our system is a voluntary system."

Huh?

Politicians are ass-puppets whose only purpose is to be mouth pieces for those pulling their strings. Harry Reid stands tall among ass-puppets. Your definition gave me a nice chuckle.
