I've read both that it does and does not matter if the cards came with the ATF-NFA stamped address on them. Meaning I can just got to the sheriffs office and get them there. Can someone confirm one way or another? And If I do have to have theirs, does anyone have some extras I can buy?
Thanks.
I haven't gone through the process myself, but of all the threads I've read of people going through this, I've never heard of people having to get ATF-NFA specific cards. For a while there was a huge shortage and people were trading cards to each other.

Humn, Im going to attempt it. Either they send them back and I waste time or I wait till i find some ...and waste time. Thanks.
I assume you're talking about the ORI?
If so you can just write in the ATF/NFA info if you don't have the specific cards.....I just sent in some forms in (5 months ago) got em back on Thursday and thats what I did. Just a little bit of white out, write in the info and you're good to go.

Thanks. You got by with using white out? Wow everything I've read states that a big no-no. Guess their not any more consistent than typical gov agencies.
Thanks again

This. If the Sheriff's office is doing prints with a print scanner, they even might be able to insert the ATF's ORI into the appropriate block for you before they print it. I used to print people on blue cards for various reasons, and I would simply white out the ORI and write in the correct ORI for them. It's not that big a deal. White out in the other blocks or more than three reprints (big white sticker that goes over a bad print) will get it kicked back though.

Thanks SA.
If you'll remind me before a local match day, I'll show up and buy you a tea.
