View Full Version : GP Guns in Littleton
Check out the new shooting sports store upstairs at Grand Prix Motorsports... Grand Prix Guns. Just opened March 1st, so they said they are getting new product in everyday. However, they did have some hard to find pistols in stock, lots ammo, competitive prices and great service. Just picked up a Springfeild XD 40 SC and they had two more on the shelf. Thanks GPG!!!!!!
It looks like it's growing quickly. More inventory every week. $15 transfers.
Went in today looking for some stuff. Not only did have what I was looking for, but they matched the price I saw on a popular website.
They not only have guns and ammo, they have a decent selection of firearm accessories.
They have been friendly and helpful when I have been in as well. I just wish they had more stuff. [Tooth]
What are you looking for hoopty?
Bump... Anyone been in lately? Start to get more black guns in... it's about time.

Wow, went here to get some hollow points for my carry gun since Walmart was out and ask the gentlemen what was the price on a rifle I was looking at getting and their price was about $800 less than what everyother place I went to was selling. He even said he could probably go even less. So I'm probably going back next week and see what he says.

Awesome. That's quite the difference. Sounds like a place with great customer service. I'll have to check them out real soon.

What brands do they carry?
I went in there just to eyeball stuff and they were very cool about it, gave me good service even after I informed them they could give their attention to someone who was actually going to buy something [Coffee]

I don't know all the brands they have but they do sell Smith & Wesson.

Well, I ordered the rifle today and the cost was a little higher than I thought but still cheaper than most places.
Also, Smith & Wesson is doing an awesome deal right now. Buy a M&P15 rifle get a $100 MIR or get 5 30 round mags. I am picking the 5 free mags.
Also, GP Guns is doing a deal on ammo. 200 rounds of 5.56x45 for $89.99.
What brands do they carry?
We have a ton of stuff... Brands: S&W, Springfield, Sig Sauer, Walther, Kimber, Browning, Bushmaster, Berretta. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. If we don't have it, Casey will find you whatever you want.

I went in there a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with the place. I was looking at their gunsafes and one of the employees came over and offered an even better deal for the safe than what was advertised on it. I was impressed with them.
I really want that safe, but just can't afford it right now! [Bang]

I was reading back through this thread a few days ago and wondered the same thing myself when I read these two posts:

When I saw the following post, I got my answer

Yup, he definitely works there. Always good to know someone on the "inside". Toli can help to give us a heads up when new items and special sales come up. Right Toli?
Yep, I got you guys.[Beer]
I told everyone a while back that I work downstairs in the motorsports area. Remeber when I first put up a post with a flyer and talked it up and then got hammered by everyone.

Nope, I do not remember.
But what do you do downstairs? Sells, parts, etc...?

I was going to come in here and call you a shill, just for old time sake.

A little details would be helpful. I'm aware you sell those things, but have no desire to show up hoping something I want is on sale.

Now I'm disappointed. Did GP Guns raise their transfer fee to $25 from 15?
Also, the website says they will only do transfers from FFLs. Whats the deal?
Not sure...Call down and ask.

Yes they did raise their transfer fee to $25 awhile back, and the last time I was there a sign said " transfers $25 for a limited time." which says to me that they will go up again, if it already hasn't.
Still, they are some nice guys there.

Man, more than $25 transfers? That will make them the highest in the area, and they will only transfer from FFLs. They seem to be discouraging transfers to even out their high prices with online stores, which is their right but a sad sales tactic.
I tried contacting the guy I normally do transfers through (J&J) several times and he wouldn't respond so I decided to go with Grand Prix instead. They were super nice, called me pretty much as soon as my Sig was delivered to them from the seller and everything went smoothly. I don't mind paying a little extra when they are reliable and good people to do business with. Even though they are kind of out of the way for me, I will do business with them again.
Now, it's time for me to get out and shoot my Christmas present. [Muaha]

I went in here to just check out some handguns. They have a huge selection which is very nice, but their prices are insane! very expensive
Yeah, prices are in outer space. Also, if you're going to get a firearm transferred and you need an FFL, Rapid Fire Bunker (Industry Partner) is just a hop, skip, & a jump down the road from Grand Prix (and they'll do it for $15.) [Beer]
Been into this place a few times and it always seems like they have a really good selection of whatever gun I'm looking for.
Unfortunately I can only look when I'm there because their prices are through the roof. I asked about price matching an EMP there recently and they were willing to come down in price but count match 5280. The customer service was great at GP (unlike 5280) but unfortunately my wallet took me elsewhere for the purchase.
They did do pretty good on a 1911 price match I asked about, good enough to give them my business anyway. It's worth asking

Nutz! It soulds like the place really changed between 2010 and 2012. I called them yesterday and transfers are now $35, which sounded like robbery to me.
I'll visit there tomorrow for the first time.
Bought a browning takedown from them about a week ago. Great bunch of guys to deal with. Had some issues with them in the past on the bike side of the house so I've been Leary of dealing with them. After going in a couple of times looking at it, I finally bit the bullet and got it, they went out of their way to make it right.

Stopped in yesterday, first time in about a year. There is a reason for that and that is due to thier high prices. I do buy a new firearm, ammo and accessories quite often so I am very conscious about what I am spending. Went into the store and noted they had great inventory. However their prices were on average 10 to 20 percent higher than thier local competitors, and in some cases higher than Cabelas or the retail outfits. I also hate the tactic of laying to price tag down so the customer cant see the price. I am more likely to ask to look at something if its in my price range. Either way nice store but I hope they do something abou their prices.
Either may wait another year or so to return to see if their prices have come down.

Price tags are never intentionally laid face down. They used to be part of the front placard on the pistol holder, but the market has been too volatile over the last year. If you can't see a price, just ask. If you have seen the gun available at another store for less, just tell us. We price match after confirming. The prices are MSRP/MAP. Some we can play with, some we can't. Cabelas won't barter, we do.
I had never heard of them, but we had an issue (from a rookie mistake) that required a gunsmith's help. They were so friendly and helpful that we hung around while they each took turns trying to fix our revolver.
We were impressed by the selection, and ended up bringing home a nice, practical Remington shotgun. They were also able to fix our revolver! Great customer service, and a welcoming attitude. We were very satisfied, and have no buyer's remorse for our sleek black Remmie.

I've heard they will drop the price on most firearms if you they feel you may buy elsewhere but an across the board price match on everything I find hard to believe. Maybe SA Friday will chime in.
