After being out 7 years I tried to join the Guard, the recruiter called today and said they denied my med waiver [Rant1] I was hopeing to go guard a few years then go back active now thats out! I hate my job and living in CO but now I am stuck since I dont make enough $ to move and cant find a good paying job. I need a vacation [Rant2]
At least you are employed.... Just sayin'
not sure how you can hate living in fort fun, pretty girls and a nice river, and beer!

I feel you man. I can run, jump, and shoot but they (all military) tell me I'm overweight by 150+ pounds. I can pass their physical tests and all. So I'm delegated to a life of civilian pleasantries though I have 2 generations ahead of me (dad-grandpa) with military service. Talk about breaking a tradition, lol.

That sucks. Were you trying for 19D again? What if you reclass to some non combative MOS?

The guard here at least doesnt have 19D, I was gonna go 11B and take it easy in my old age :) But they said none at all. Hell I would even do comm or what ever at this point! I can pass my PT with at least 70 in each category, make weight etc.

Take it easy.....pppssshhhhh....you 19D's I tell ya.
I heard CO started up a Infantry company, not sure where they are located. I got out before they started it up.
I have also considered going back a bunch, but I always forget that the army treats everyone like they are little kids

Sorry to hear about that. What was the med waiver for? If you don't mind me asking.
