Heading straight to Fountain from work tomorrow afternoon so I have time to get everything in order for the Appleseed this weekend.

You all have fun!

I may wind up having time to run down to the range and shoot for a bit one day this weekend... if I do - I'll pop over to the Appleseed and say hey.

Due to the needs of the Army, I had to cancel my Appleseed seat this weekend :(

Nuts. Well, I'll shoot double for you. May be nasty weather anyways.

The Appleseed Project is a basic Rifleman course desigend to get people interested in shooting and teach them about how America came to be.

Fantastic stuff, and teaches you the basics, like how to use a sling, adjust your sights, proper shooting positions, etc.

Wish things like this didn't cost so much...

EDIT: Wish I made more money to SUPPORT things like this.

The cost is very reasonable, $70 for a weekend does not seem high to me. The group only charges to cover hard costs, everyone working is a volunteer.

You can always go just one day - it is like 40 or 50 bucks...
The first day really helped me.

To be honest... ANYTHING is pretty tough right now. Car repairs, still no computer for personal use (I use the one at work or library), debts/bills, etc... I keep talking about how I want this gun, or this upgrade, etc but it's all just talk for now. So ANYTHING is a stretch! lol.

So for now I work my butt off and just think "One of these days".... [Beer]

Ridge... you must have had a wet muddy time this weekend...
The Fountain range is notorious for getting muddy... and it rained on Saturday...
I hope you had a good time despite the weather.

I do my friend. I'm glad I have something right now even if it's just a "job" and no benefits.

In reference to no personal computer:

It's rough, but I'm living... it's amazing how much "free" time I have without a computer! HAHA.

It was nasty. I personally gave up after about 2 and a half hours out there on Saturday...everything was soaked through, including my wool ground pad.

I packed up and went back to my hotel. Cranked up the heat and took a hot shower...the rest of them stayed out there in that stuff until 5pm.

Had a great time on Sunday, though...
