So finally the ACR is out.

check AIM surplus. they had a few in stock and I think the prices were better.
I am boycotting them just because they lead people on soo bad as to delivery, the price was WAY beyond what they predicted and the SCAR seems like a whole lot better gun for the money.

I wasn't a fan of the SCARs for ergonomic reasons. The plastic felt crappy to me (as a Glock and Magpul owner, I am picky about my plastics), and I don't like the idea of the reciprocating bolt handle. That being said I am far too unimportant and poor to have shot either, so my opinion is about 2 cents high of worthless as of this moment, and either would probably be a fine rifle.

In terms of a boycott however, I am with you, they do about the same thing my rifle does…differently, for a whole lot more money. I would wager with as much mass as they have bouncing around the accuracy is bound to suffer, and if I do my part, I have had no reliability issues with my rifle.

P.S. Just incase FN or Cerberus Corp. is out there listing, I will happily break my boycott for a rifle, either will do.

I totally understand your hatred for "cheap" feeling plastics! I would be interested in handling one and maybe putting a few mags down range.

I thought this thing was originaly being marketed as affordable? like in the 1250-1500 range... major let down!

For that kind of money I honestly expect more than I think the ACR delivers. I'd rather put some more money into something like an LWRC REPR, I think it's twice the gun. Worst case, you can get an M1A or a really tricked out AR for less than the ACR. Just my $.02!

Sorry, F*CK BUSHMASTER ..

I had higher expectations of MagPul and while I understand business is business and Remington/Bushf*cker are targeting the military market, the outright "F*CKUCIVILIAN" attitude of both organizations is going to cause me to ignore them all together. If I buy one, it will be in a few years and from someone FTF. The SCAR looks more and more attractive as a stable addition to compliment that AR collection.
