View Full Version : How was your Appleseed Weekend
I know we had some folks heading to the local Appleseeds, wanted to hear what everyone thought about the weekend.
I spent the weekend in Gunnison with a buddy and my son, had a real nice time despite some very heavy mud on Saturday.
I was impressed to see some many make the trip in questionable weather. We had 1 shooter, 68 years old and recent cancer surviver, made rifleman on the first AQT.
So how was your weekend?

I was there on Saturday. Gunnison is a great town with lots of nice people. My wife and I arrived on Friday and stayed the weekend. The Appleseed project is awesome. I recommend going to them whenever they are in your area.
Went to Fountain. I only got through 2 targets on saturday, then packed up.
Went back on Sunday, and spent the whole day there. Only managed a 151, but I was pretty consistent throughout the day.
Lots of black rifles there :D
Couple of pictures from Gunnison...
Remember, keep away from the ejection port when coaching triiger control on a mini-14.

Hey Ridge, thanks again for the help in assembling paperwork at the gate Saturday AM! You saved my butt! Glad you had a good time (better on Sunday than Saturday, eh?)

When you have the unfortunate gunfight. Your attire won't be what matters.
