I haven't been to a Tanner show in a while. I'm thinking about getting the ballistic vest out of the closet and heading down there this weekend.

I'm in the market for some AR parts... mostly a Carbine Reciever Ext., an H2 buffer, Spring, ASAP Plate etc.

Anyone know if the Tanner has had any good tables / deals in the past few shows? If not... guess I'll just order it all from Rainier...

Squirrel.

Check with Mike at Bowers Tactical he may have some of what your looking for-he's one of the Dealers here. I can't speak for Tanner I gave up going there about a year ago.

I'll have to check out Bower's one of these days. I work right down the street from there, just haven't had the chance to stop in and take a look.

Good shop-if Mike doesn't have it in stock he can usually get it.

I'll be going to the show this weekend. I am looking for a few pieces too.

To answer your questions, yes there is usually some good stuff there, but hard to find "good' deals. Some of those guys are out of there minds on some of the prices.

Bunch of folks with ar parts tables, might get lucky.

And yeah, quite a few are wacko on numbers. $30 for a plastic 22 10round mag, $70 for a case of mres, $7/15 round box of ak yugo surplus ammo (sells for 250/1260 all day) But did find a deal on bdu's, FAL mags, ak pieces, cool books, and occasionally something reasonable in handgun or rifles. And forget buying kevlar there, 400 was the standard last I saw. [Coffee]

I think the kevlar price is so steep at the Tanner since you NEED a vest there...

Just leave quick when someone picks up a non-cabled gun from a dumb dealer table, puts his finger on the trigger, and points it at anyone. 2 dummies means some poor sod gets shot.

Doh, I'm guessing Bower's was closed up today with the weather. Or I had the luck of showing up during lunch hour. Was hoping to check out some prices there to compare to the Gun Show this weekend.

I can always swing by the Firing Line I guess.
Anyone know of other shops on the east side of town that sell AR parts?

Check Mike's new hours on the thread he has about longer hours. He has a full time job plus his shop-you may have gone too early.

You should leave the ammo in it and sell it as a "combo" deal.

Want to use my riot shield?

It's kind of old, but very functional...

Checked out Tanner today. It was busy.

There was some good prices to be had on 5.56/.223 ammo ($360 for 1000rnds PMC).
Lots of reman ammo.
AR uppers always seem high at Tanner.
Only 1 AK-47 kit (Yugo M70 underfold).

This one table is selling these Korean AR15 mags that are clones of HK mags. They look and feel identical! They are stainless steel 30 rounders. They are only $16.95! I bought one and will compare it to my HK mag and post my findings.

Busy was an understatement.

I think people are looking to spend tax returns.

I was walking around between 10:30 and 1:30 with my AR...had a few people looking at it, but no serious buyers...

Yeah very busy.

I've not been to the tanner show in over a year and was surprised to see the number of vendors actually filled out the floor. I have to say in the many years I've been going (not every show every month), this is the most crowded I've ever seen.

I noticed alot of people that didn't know much about firearms looking around. I overheard alot of people chatting that sounded pretty new.

Yeah, nothing really caught my eye besides ammo as far as price-wise. So pleased with that.

Prices seemed the same as usual over-all.

Is that a cause and effect sentence?

Wasn't too impressed with the Tanner this weekend. Everything just seemed a little high, and anytime I'd tell a vendor "I can get this from X place for cheaper, wanna match it so I can buy it from you?' They'd just give me some crap about 'well it must be a knock off, or factory seconds' etc. I figured since it was midday Sunday they'd jump on some sales.

Machinegun Tours did have some great deals and a good bunch of guys. I almost picked up a Magpul Stock Kit from them... But I'm still holding out for an IMOD.
