5 round Armalite magazine will not work

I purchased a 5 round Armalite magazine for my Armalite AR-10 and it just will not work. The worst thing that happened is it got stuck on the bolt catch latch. I had to drive the pin out to remove the latch in order to get the mag disengaged. On top of that, I measured the dimensions of the mag and it appeared to be out of spec. All the measurements were slightly to significantly greater than then those of my other Armalite magazines. I bought the mag supposedly new, directly from Armalite.

Has anyone else had any problems with these? I heard that Armalite mags can bulge if left loaded, but as I said, this was "new" and has never been loaded to my knowledge.

I had some issues with thier 1st generation mags because they were just M1A mags fitted for an Armalite. The new mags have been great. Also there are some immitations out there as well. You should see a white Armalite stamp on the mag on the front if its an Armalite mag. I would contact Armalite and tell them what happened. They will make it right for you with a quick turnaround.

There is no Armalite label on this one and it came from Armalite. Interesting... I wonder if they just don't bother to do that to the 5 round mags. It is a Second Gen mag too. Thanks.
