Just thought I would pop in and say hello, since i'll be updating during the day from time to time fromt he shop.
My name is Rob, and I am the new guy workign at Bower's during the day.
On top of being an unapologetic AR fan boy, I am a proffessional gun smith, Long range marksmanship instructor, and some times contract security and fugitive recovery agent.
All of this is largely symptomatic of my liking guns, and not wantign to grow up and get a real job, so i figured out ways to make my toys pay for themselves.
I have worked for and with some local industry notables, as well as others in the western US that one or two people might have heard of. None of them have put out a hit on me yet, so I am assumign i am still doing a good job.
I love working on and talkign guns, so coem on by Bower's during the day tues, thurs and fri and shoot the breeze for a while.

Welcome. My hubby and I will have to stop by
fugitive recovery agent.
Third time I've heard that expression... Is that the "new" way of saying bounty hunter?
Welcome aboard!

It's a euphamism for that line of work, yes. I use it to seperate myself from the bearded biker wannabes, tactifools, and other yokels in the feild. The industry isn't very tightly regulated, so for every proffessional, there is about 100 brain dead thugs.
Needless to say, that's why i stipulated 'some times', since some of the thugs are the bondsman putting up the contracts to begin with.
Thanks for the warm welcome, all.

I won't lie, that was where my mind went!! Sometimes when I see them, I want to run their info wanting to look for rap sheets! HAHA.

I just spent the majority of my lunch hour shooting the breeze over there. Completely forgot to grab a set of KNS pins, even after talking about them. I'm sure you'll see me again sometime this week.
Welcome to the forum, though I'm still an FNG.

It wouldnt be unproductive. One of the guys i worked for used a known crack head with multiple drug and robery convictions for chase.
Sadly, though, some times guys like that are needed to get inside.

Welcome aboard.
About damn time you signed up here Rob... and without trying to make his head to big, he is a pretty damn good gun smith. Even if he doesn't know crap about computers and is as gabby as a 12 year old girl on speed.
This is Luke's buddy Chris by the way..

If you need AR parts, Work, Advice, supplies....
Bowers.
(note the period)
Mike was helpful, polite and even accommodating (I walked in with my new .40)
I got some VERY good deals on Magpul equipment, They actually had alot more that I wanted/needed... I just ran out of allowance for the week [Rant2]
I went to firing line first.. asked about their PMAGs... $30.00
I went to Bowers... ~$14.00
and no one treated me like I was an Idiot or an inconvenience.
I will drive from Thornton to Bowers (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Thornton+Plaza+Shopping+Center,+Denver,+CO&daddr=6931+S+Yosemite+St,+Englewood,+Arapahoe,+Col orado+80112&hl=en&geocode=FSUJYQIdY62--SGh24pn0ISHdClrB-kSBnRshzH3rTAM0Afzlg%3BFYMcXAId9ZG_-Sm7mwG3eIZshzHKuItjkfvRZg&mra=pe&mrcr=0&sll=39.752601,-104.915314&sspn=0.424433,1.056747&ie=UTF8&ll=39.752601,-104.951706&spn=0.424433,1.056747&t=h&z=11) for Parts before I go to Jensen's again.
I look forward to meeting the whole team.

You all need to get a bigger online presence...Google Maps says your facility is used by "OutSourceIT". It needs to say "Bowers Tactical".
Yeah some of us IT capable folks need to talk Mike into letting us update his online presence and all the fun stuff that goes with it.

Rich, who owns the building, is also the owner operator of Outsource IT.
So, dont be confused, it is accurate. Just trust us on the address ;)
Truth is, mike started his business 8 years ago, so online we are well established. But the brick and morter store is only 3 years old, so its that we need to get higher profile.
Which, of course, is where all of you come in.... you just have to come bug us more often ;)
