View Full Version : 10/22 Barrel Makers and Customization
There are a lot of custom barrel makers out there for the 10/22.
Question: Do you know if anyone will take the sights off my current .22lr and install them on a new barrel?
I've contacted several people (GM, Vortsgaurden, Tac-Sol, etc) and they won't do it....
'Cause for the most part, one uses some type of optics with a fancy barrel.[Wink]
Could shoot Circuts a PM, see if He may be able to do it..

What he said.
What kind of sights are so special you need them taken off one and put on another? Just wondering.

Rgr, I learned on irons and would just like them to be on the weapon whether I use them or not. I haven't seen Circuts post in a while... forgot he does some smithy stuff. Thanks.

They are unobtanium gas filled, special elliptical, super laser engraved, tacticool nuclear 100% super alloy iron sights!!!
I'm kidding. There is nothing special about them. They are just old school basic iron sights. They are still GTG and I just don't see the point of tossing them if I could just install them on a newer barrel. I've seem some of the newer sights out there and they are just too big with too many functions, etc for my tastes.

I hear that. Thats why I still use good old fashion Iron sights on my duty rifle. Plus I dont have to turn them on, they are always ready to work.
