So my Grandmother is going to turn 93 in 2 weeks. She receives $2227/month in Social Security and now I come to find out that our Government feels this is TOO MUCH MONEY to qualify for Medicaid. So she, i.e me and my mother, have to fill out tons of paperwork every time she sees a Doctor which is turning out to be a twice a month thing. She worked her ass off running a business in NYC for 45 years she appeared to be set for life. Then the owner of the company passes and left the business to his son who within 3 months raided the pension fund and left my Grandmother without her nest egg. But yet my Government would rather spend billions on people who cross our border illegally bang out 10 kids and pay that family tens of thousands without ever a medical care for the rest of their lives. WHAT HAPPENED?? Something has gone terribly wrong in this country when just 20 years ago I was a TREE HUGGING HIPPY and now I identify with our conservative base more and more. My Grandmother deserves more from HER COUNTRY than this. Almost 93 and $2227 is TOO MUCH MONEY!!!!

Uhhh.....dude preachin to the choir here! My grammas going through much the same thing. She dont even have enough to buy her medication, I or another family member buy it. But still.....she worked all her life to ensure that her kids and grandkids would not be burdend by her, not that we feel that way, but you know how older people are. They want to take RESPONSIBILITY for things.
