Yeah. Peaceful protestors are the biggest national security threat we face. The entire command staff that approved that exercise should be fired.
There is absolutely no excuse for our Army officers to approve and carry out orders like that.
I am so ashamed of my government. This administration is a freakin' disaster that will haunt our country for generations.
And those that say it can't happen are full of shit.
I'm up for a revolution.

Ugh.........
I recently saw a link (I think it was posted on here) that was a very long page documenting a LOT of protest signs directly threatening former President Bush. The article was basically asking how come nothing was EVER done about any of those signs, yet this administration seems to be very sensitive about any forms of criticism. I wish I could find it again.
This article is disturbing.

Another example of how the Government needs to be watched. I'm amazed at how an Administration can see people who disagree with their policies and agenda as enemies. Enemies of the State, I suppose. We all need to keep a weather eye on these folks, and let's hope that military personnel remember that their oath is to the Constitution FIRST. "Beloved Leader" appears to think that the Government is him, and he is the government....

An update from Mark Alexander regarding this. Sounds like a lower level officer may have screwed the pooch and altered the training exercise without higher approval:
Update from Mark Alexander – April 29, 2010
PUBLISHER'S NOTE: Regarding my essay, Army Preps for Tea Party 'Terrorists', I was contacted by senior command staff at Ft. Knox this afternoon. There was a security exercise at Ft. Knox this week, but an officer in the security loop altered the scenario "in order to make it more realistic." Those alterations were described in my essay, exactly as they appeared. The command staff informed me that the alterations were not approved at the command level and that the individual who circulated the scenario through official channels will "receive appropriate counsel." I was assured that the Command staff would not have authorized such a scenario.

Oh, please. The military would never throw one of their own under the bus.
