View Full Version : Denver Post ads
I haven't read a Denver Post in a long time. Saturday I picked up my out town neighbor's paper, as they asked, and look at the classifieds.
The fireams section used to have a disclaimer that the Post would not accept ads from individuals. I didn't see that and it looked like there were some individual ads.
Did the Post change their ways?
Wow they still print Newspapers?????
Wow they still print Newspapers?????
What's this "newspaper" you speak of? hehehe

Papers are in dire straights competing with the eworld and will do almost anything to keep the publications out. It wouldn't surprise me to see that they changed their R&R's to accept individual dealers.

It's before your time.
It's a multi-page document that was delivered to a persons home, usually thrown into the bushes in front of the house, or sometimes onto the roof of the dwelling by snot-nosed kids or (some say) even as far back as Pony Express riders

Uh no, they print fire starter. [Stick]
I tried to use the online classifieds the other day. I got linked to a junk mail site that tried to send me a premium text message and charge me for service. I felt like the Denver Post was TRYING to go out of business.

You know, that's an interesting point.... I wonder just how much longer newspapers will be printed. Some day, that fine newsprint we take for granted for starting our fires may no longer be available to us (or our descendants). Then what?
I can't believe all the trees that have died for the paper!

The advertisements they send everyone in the mail also works...

I've read recently that there will not be a major paper in the US by 2040, with most gone by 2030. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the very small localized papers, like the Columbine Courier or 285 Hustler, are growing in leaps and bounds and doing well. Small is the new big....
Small is the new big....
I tried explaining that to my girlfriend but she didn't buy it. [Tooth]

You could always ask your neighbors for their's, I think most people just throw them in the trash.
I am just trying to be helpful here, thinking outside the box!
