Hi guys. I've been a a member on here for a few months and just haven't had time to come say Hi and everything. But I found a Taurus Millennium PT111 9mm for sale here in Colorado, and was wondering if any of you guys have owned 1 before? Are they good? Bad? Any major problems with them? Please let me know what you think of them.

My buddy has one and it seems to function properly but the grip is pretty thin and the recoil starts to hurt the hand after a while. One of the girls in our group was going to get one until she shot it. I would say, see if you can put some rounds through it before you buy to make sure it fits you personally. Good luck.

I liked the gun, but got rid of it for carry or self-defense after shooting it, and finding that the magazine release was being triggered occasionally by a bad interaction between my giant paws and the pistol's recoil during two-handed firing. It's also got 8-ball sights (one dot on the front blade, one dot on the back, and you line them up), which aren't a favorite of mine.
I could have gotten past the sights issue, but not the mag dropping when I fired it.
