"But to many Mexican-American students at Live Oak, this was a big deal. They say they were offended by the five boys and others for wearing American colors on a Mexican holiday. "I think they should apologize cause it is a Mexican Heritage Day," Annicia Nunez, a Live Oak High student, said. "We don't deserve to be get disrespected like that. We wouldn't do that on Fourth of July." - Quoted from source.

FUCK you, you stupid idiot! You're in AMERICA, you're an AMERICAN, we do not celebrate Cinco de Mayo. If I want to wear my flag, I will, period. I ain't apologizing for anything... Oh wait, I apologize that you're an anti-American, racial, stupid, low life, human being. I'm sorry you can't grasp the concept that this isn't Mexico. I'm sorry... Jesus...

"Oh no, that hurt my feelings"... screw you. Oh man, I need to stop reading this crap... Mexican American... no such thing. You're either an American or not. There is no prefix as to what "type" of American you are. Disrespected? You have to earn it first bitch. Wouldn't do that on 4th of July? Bull shit...

Where the hell are my scholarships for being white? Where is my white holiday where no one else is allowed to celebrate? Where are all my programs for being white? Where are my classes on white history in schools? Where is.... You know, this shit makes me WANT to be racist.

I was going to complain about the story about the kids getting suspended from DPS for acting like shit heads while wearing Mexican flags, so they turned around and said it was racism. I doubt any of those faggot kids they showed on the news have even been to Mexico.

This story is much worse. At least DPS kicked kids out of school for being a nuisance. This whole immigration thing has made people go full on retard.

So long story short....

Mexico owes France a ton of money and refuses to pay it...

France responds with military force for a one day battle and loses (which is hard to believe I know)...

That battle took place on May 5th...

So Cinco De Mayo is about the Mexican Government refusing to pay its bills...

Do any of the so called Mexican Americans know this? Probably not. It happened in Mexico and not in the US. I would also say it is something hardly worth celebrating.

I thought it celebrated one of the times Mexico gained its freedom. I was under the impression it was at least more important than giving the repo man the finger. Either way, if Mexico is so wonderful, move there. Nothing wrong recognizing the culture you hail from, but you do that by ordering a #7 at your favorite carnicaria every year, not spitting in the face of the country you live in.

Take Oktoberfest for example. People wear German attire and drink German beer, but they aren't going around flying the German flag and acting like dick bags.

I totaly agree. My ancestors came here from Spain before there were states.

I don't fly Spanish flags or flags of Navarre.

This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BITCH!

If you don't like where you're at, GO THE FUCK HOME!

I have no problem with people of Mexican descent wanting to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Cool, that's the beauty of America......

However, this is the United States. To send those students home for wearing the flag of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is an outrage!!!!!

If some people of Mexican descent want to display a Mexican flag on their property/person, fine, but DON'T EVEN TRY TO TELL ME/MY KIDS WE CAN'T DISPLAY AN AMERICAN FLAG!!!!! FUCK THEM!!!!!!!

The actions of the school border on treason. The administration should be held criminally responsible for this.

This borders right on the boundary of what would justify American citizens to take up arms and repel foreign invaders.

I'm sick of this politically correct bullshit!

Agreed, however I think it will be up to the school district to lay down the hammer on the Principal so the more e-mails they get, maybe the hammer will be bigger. It certainly doesn't hurt to get a couple more contacts to e-mail, and it looks like you guys have, lol.

I browsed through the article, but I want to be clear on something. The case in California was different than the one in Denver right? In Denver, at least the school said they sent the kids home because they were being rowdy and causing a disturbance. It sounds like in California they sent the kids home just for showing up wearing American Flag t-shirts.

That is all I took from the article, Sent the kids home JUST for wearing American Flat T-shirts

It'd be one thing if they were going around trying to start fights or something, but the article doesn't even hint at that. Sounds like the school was afraid for their safety and sent them home to me. They should have said, "these students have a right to display their pride for their country, the same country that YOU all live in. Any student who doesn't like it can go home, or will be SENT home if problems arise."

Well, in my fantasy world that's how it would have gone.

One time in high school, instead of dressing up like a Farmer for school spirit day, I dressed up like a ghost. All day people just asked if I was a Klan member. [Bang]

Haha!! So one of my best friends is a black guy... HUGE black guy, like 6'5 and 320lbs, with like 2% body fat. Anyways, one time in our undergrad I (white guy) dressed up like a Black Panther member (La Raza beret, black combat boots, and all!!) and he (black guy) dressed up as a Klan member! HAHA. The looks (and threats) we got all day were priceless. We didn't last past the first class before we were "asked" to go home and change. I have pics somewhere... I'll try to find them.[ROFL1]

I am glad this happened, it will only hurt their cause.

here's the email I sent, cc'd to the district.

Hi Nick,

My name is Elhuero. I would like to know how the hell you get off thinking it's OK to punish kids for wearing the Stars and Stripes to school. Seriously, I'd like to know what you were thinking. Was it a "seemed like a good idea at the time" situation? Or are you an impotent figurehead and your school is really run by mob rule and racial intimidation? I know you're getting flooded with emails right now, so I don't expect an answer. Have a wonderful day, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes right now.

Sincerely,

Elhuero

I wore the American flag every Cinco day Mayo in high school.
I got threats all day long, even had some POS steal the flag off my truck that my grandfather who passed away gave me.
Luckily the principal, and the local law enforcement, was on my side...
got in allot of fights and never got suspended or asked to leave once, though the other kids did.
I'm an American and I have the right to fight for my country on any damn day I choose... this is AMERICA!!!!!!
We had a bunch of white kids that thought wearing an upside down American flag was cool... and I though breaking their teeth for it was cool so it worked out well.

I hope the parents take legal action against the school, the district and the administration.

Unless something is in their school policy handbook or code on conduct that directly says the American Flag or any depiction may not be worn on the 5th of May, the school is fucked.

I am guessing they didn't take down the American flags in the classrooms, or the American Flag flying in the front (although I remember a story a year or two ago where the kids took that down and put the mexican flag above it and I think they hung the American flag upside down as well....

I want to see some more people added to unemployment for this one. they completely fucked up.
