McCabe and Mrs. Miller??????

The fact it is even on the the list is bad enough. But, better than Silverado or Fistful of Dollars... Ahhhh, no..

I've seen two of those (bet you can guess which two) and parts of some others.

Is the movie with the line, "we ain't got no stinking badges!" on there?

I am glad they had Butch and Sundance on there...great movie!
also liked the good, the bad and the ugly

3:10 to Yuma is definitely a good "newer" western!

Unforgiven I liked

Not necessarily a western but I think Jeremiah Johnson should have been on there as I love that movie!

I disagree with several of those on the list and that there are many that should be there that aren't.

I was getting worried when I didn't see The Searchers until #21. But what about Big Jake and The Cowboys; both John Wayne movies?

And what about Paint Your Wagon? Okay, I overstepped with that one.

I disagree with a few on the list myself... Think some really good ones were left off.
I think 'Last of the Dogmen' should be put on it. But some people may not see that as a 'Western.'

I am sure glad none of you guys have said "broke back mountain should be in there"! I would have been extremely worried

Paint Your Wagon?

Yeah but, it did prove The age old question, that Lee Marvin could sing better than Clint Eastwood..

The list doesn't work for me.

He's a few of my favs;

My Name Is Nobody
Magnificent Seven
The Proffesionals
Outlaw Josey Wales
(insert just about an spaghetti western)
Rio Bravo
The War Wagon
Appaloosa
Blazing Saddles

Dance With Wolves would have been a great movie if KC would not have been in it.

I also wonder what the heck McCabe and Mrs. Miller was doing on that list.

I think 'Open Range' really belonged there. I want Kevin Costner's 12 shooter. Despite that it is great.

I think 'Lonesome Dove' deserved an honorable mention. It is a min-series, not a movie but a real classic.

Give Robert Duval a great script and cowboy hat and all will be well.

I think Unforgiven should have been higher on the list.

I can't believe they missed True Grit, if it is on while I'm surfing I watch it. Magnificent Seven should have been there too.

Paint Your Wagon is really good but in the same vein as Support your Local Sheriff (James Garner).

I really enjoyed Open Range.

Agreed - "Open Range" (or pretty much anything with Duvall) is pretty much tops on my list. "Unforgiven" is a close second.

I know it's not really a movie but "Lonesome Dove" is also one of my favorites.

open range, definitely.

when Kim Coates is bragging about killing charley's friend and liking it, and charley shoots him in the head without another word... one of my favorite scenes in all of film.
