I'm 8000 miles from home, and I run into a guy who is from the same miniscule shithole little town in Ohio where I gew up. This world is WAY too small....

Everything is going good here, it's hot as fuck, about 110 today, and it only gets worse from here.

It's nice to see everone carrying a gun for change.

Glad to hear that you made it there safely. Remember to keep your head down and your eyes open and come back to us in one piece when it's time for you to rotate back (I assume that your contract is for a set period of time?).

Remember chow hall #3 has the best grub and avoid the north ramp/burn pit.

Sounds like Balad. If it is, don't spend too much time hanging around catfish air, or the double haas on the south side of the ramp. They have had that area zeroed in for awhile. I did hear they built a taco bell on the north side though[Luck]

They burn pits are gone now thank god. All a moot point however, as I am leaving for Liberty soon...

It is, thank God I'm leaving this hell hole of a FOB. can't wait to get back to F2. For some reason, they like hitting port-o-johns...
