I am not affiliated with the group, nor plan on attending (it's pricey), but I thought I'd throw it out there to anyone who may be interested. I've gotten to fly in fighters and AH's and gotten to ride in tanks, etc so something that old and slow is not for me. However, I'm sure the views will be breathtaking!!

If anyone is interested:

The most recently restored WW ll B-17 Flying Fortress named "Liberty Belle" will be in Colorado Springs the weekend of May 22 - 23 at Cutter Aviation (1360 Aviation Way). Come out and see a piece of living
history, take a ground tour through the plane, or take an amazing flight back in time. Experience the sights, sounds and veiwpoints that our WWII heroes saw.

The Flight Experience includes 25-30 minutes of flight time. Passengers are seated for takeoff and landing, but are allowed to move between the combat crew positions during the flight. The in-flight view from the bombardiers position in the nose is breathtaking.

Flight cost is $395 for Liberty Foundation Members, $430 for non-members. Become a member for $40 and receive the member discount for friends and family. To book a flight call 918-340-0243. For questions or more information, please call Larry at 668-7991 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Rgr, you gotta think of the maintanece and gas for that huge sucker. Plus, I'm sure some of that is skimmed off the top for the local housing shed, etc.

They've done that out of Jeffco from time to time.. Not that I could afford it. But I do seem to have a front row seat for them..

Give me a few minutes...

It was at Rocky Mountain Metro Airport last weekend. I went to see it, got there just as it was taxiing back to the apron from its last flight of the day. Beautiful airplane! In excellent condition. I'm too po' to fly in it, and too fat to do the walk-through tour, but I could still touch it and smell the hot engines. Warbirds rock!
