I don't know what is wrong with those people, but they can't seem to keep their range up and running. I don't have a lot of free time and for the second time their rifle range has gone down from the time I called till I got there. They are totally unreliable, and I am not going to use them anymore till they are under new management. Teach them a lesson and tell them by not patronizing them that their BS ammo rules and totally unreliable ranges are unacceptable.

Here's hoping you guys find new lines of work. We need ditch diggers too. Maybe they can operate a hole in the ground if it doesn't have target stands.

I don't like all their rules, and I don't like them going through my ammo with magnets. And I can't shoot my handloads with lead bullets? WTF. Can't pick up my brass. Won't sell me brass. I just don't like indoor ranges anyway.

Sounds like they've gotten kind of shitty since I went there last a few years ago. They had some dumb rules, but I was aloud to pick up my own brass and never had a magnet run over my rounds (because they were all in commercial boxes).

Of all the times I've been there, I've never had to leave the range because there was never a line.

However, I've been hearing complaints recently about people being told to leave when there is no one else in the place.

They're jerks. I went in a few months ago, set my pistol (slide locked back) on the counter and started filling out the paperwork. A$$hole behind the counter drags (yes drags) my pistol across the counter and picks it up. He removes a very small piece of lint from the barrel and proceeds to tell me how he probably just saved my life from the gun exploding by removing the lint.

I look at the edge of the slide and it now has some small scratches on it. I point this out to Mr. a$$hole, and of course he denies it. I tear up the paperwork and start to leave when he says he can't believe I would walk out over a few scratches on my gun.

You guys do what you want, I WILL NEVER GIVES THESE PEOPLE ANOTHER PENNY OF MY MONEY.

Fug um

Yup, they're too stupid to know the difference between steel core and steel jacket.

I agree this place is a waste they are total dicks about the rules too. I dont like that they man handle your guns inspecting them and rummaging through every round you bring in there. I brought down a pistol with two slides to change the caliber halfway through. the guy catches me changing the slide and tried to give me the boot for taking apart a gun. then some young punk comes in trying to give everyone shooting lessons and pointing out things they are doing wrong. he comes over to me and says what are you shooting, i told him to leave me alone LOL. when he left i filled a big bag full of brass left and never went back. Worst gun range ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I first bought my High Point .40 carbine, I took it there to try out. The dyke that works there came to stand behind me and watch, figuring she'd get some free comedy outta me and my new p.o.s. High Point. After I ran a whole box of ammo through the one big hole in the center of the target without so much as a fart from the gun, I guess it wasn't as comical as she was hoping it would be.

OK, so there's a couple of flyers, sue me.....

Man, I'm really disappointed to read these comments. When I first bought my gun back in 2005, I would go all the time and they would mostly leave you alone. Sounds like they are all dicks now. Shame.

I used to live just east of the old place, it makes me sad that they've ruined what was the only indoor range I'd go to. I was depressed for quite some time when ... Foothills? Yeah, I think it was Foothills, shut down.

I'm sure glad someone else went through the pain. If I got my car loaded up, drove my sons down there, saw those prices and then had to go through that kind of BS, I'd have a couple disappointed kids on my hands.

we need range/conditions/sights info before we can comment

I can do that blindfolded..

at 1' with a guide, indoor range :D

Ain't no special feat, I just took it out of the box, stuck in a loaded mag and got after it. Probably 10-15 yards, indoors. I had to put a piece of masking tape on the front sight blade so I could see it against the black target is all. But it was dead-on out of the box.

I was just commenting about how the dyke stood right behind me so she wouldn't miss any opportunities to make comments. I'm sure she was hoping to see a High Point blow up right before her eyes. Felt good though, after I ran five mags through it on one target then turned to look at her and said, "guess it'll do", then packed up and left.

They went through my ammo bag, removed ammo without telling me as I filled out the form to shoot. I noticed the bag was way light and asked what had happened, and they explained my ammo was "illegal" and would not be allowed in the range...huh? When I told them they should ask to go through the bag, I get a lecture on the quality of my ammo (all factory, no reloads, no hollow points).

In any event, regardless of the rules, I have not been back in over a year. One visit with my then 12 year old son was enough. I live less than 15 minutes away, but I'll drive much longer to avoid them. They were rude, arogant and demeaning to both myself and my son. Even my 12 year old asked why they would act like that.

They won't be there long. Their attitude will catch up with them and they will go out of business. It's just a matter of time.

Sighted in a new scope on my 308 on their 100yd range last week. Young guy at the desk asked to see my ammo, no big deal. He ran a magnet over my handloads, as he should. He went over the rifle range rules, no standing while shooting...., asked if I had a handgun in my range bag. Once again no big deal, it's their house not mine.

Had the rifle range to myself, 11:00. Shot 100 rds. Was there for about 1hr 15 minutes. Good experience, will go back again.

They have always treated me very well too. Every time I've been there, they pass a magnet over my ammo, no steel, good to go. Almost always get unlimited time on the rifle side, Never been tossed off unless there is a wait. I do prefer an outdoor range but this will work on those cold snowy Saturdays.

I do wish they'd purchase some new motors for the target shuttles though.

It took you a hundred rounds and an hours and fifteen minutes to zero your scope?! Must be a china-knockoff...

Good one!

Ya', I'm not the greatest shot, got her dialed in on the 99th shot. You know those US optics scopes are crap, I'll blame it on that!
