View Full Version : Rocky Mountain 300
Thanks to Jerry, Rick, Dave, Cy, Shelly, Matt, RJ and many other people + match sponsors who made this supercool match possible ! [Beer]
How newbie you can be after ~20 years of shooting sports... Well, I would say VERY newbie when there is 60+ shots at one stage :D
I concur!!! The whole RM300 crew did an awesome job in hosting the match. All of the stages were fun and challenging to shoot [Beer]
As for the 60+ round stages. Three things are for sure....
(1) Every stage I would get this thought of "Why are there still targets to shoot???" after about 40 rounds.
(2) Being a Limited shooter it was pretty awkward to reach back for a 3rd or 4th mag during a stage run. I can't even imagine how the L10, Production, or Single stack guys felt.
(3) Its a lot of fun to send 60+ rounds down range all in the same stage run [UZI]
Agreed!!! I had a blast (pun intended) aside from the slinign in the mud and the afternon hail storm. The crew there at Weld Co did an unbelievable job again.

I can't even imagine how the L10, Production, or Single stack guys felt.
When you reached for the 7th mag behind your back, you wonder if it would be just as fast to reload with your strong hand rather then having to grab the mag with your weak hand [ROFL1]

Agreed. My first big match since '04 and I chose this one?!?! I didn't realize I could fatigue my trigger finger. First time I can remember contemplating sticking my weak hand finger into the trigger guard to speed things up.[ROFL1]
Once again, a big thank you to those who did all the work so we could play.
