Looking at putting some optics on my AR w/16". First, I was sold on the Vortex PST 1-4x MOA recticle. Now, I am starting to think that maybe I should go with a Vortex 2.5-10. Definitely larue mount, LT-104 or LT-139. I am thinking, 5-600yards max, mostly p-dog plinking. Any opinions?

Is this the same Chinese made Vortex they sell in Europe http://www.vortexoptics.com/ ? If yes, I would avoid... Buy US made optic like Leupold. If you do not want to buy a good one from S&B or Zeiss/Hensoldt.

Vortex Viper PST 1-4x is made in the Philippines, glass comes from Japan.

FYI: Some Leupolds scopes are made in China. (that are not counterfeited)

For some reason I was under the impression that Vortex was american.
