View Full Version : the gun store vegas
i don't know how many people have gone there but all i can say is WOW what a rip off! still in shock and had to warn some people planning on going. i know its vegas and its the fastest place to burn through a few hundred but still.... i mean i did enjoy shooting a full auto for the 30 sec. if that and i could have played some more but $50 for ONE magazine loaded with 7.62x39, i knew it was gonna cost me but didnt think that much. nope just couldn't do it. still from what i heard they rake in so much $ from tourist its unreal. good for them bad for me...i was so excited to get there and then so disappointed.
Never been there but heard it rakes in the dough. Think of all the bachelor parties, company events, etc. that go through that town and unload (literally).
yeah that is a rip off in my book as well, i went to a full auto shoot in NE when i was at school and i paid i think 22 for a 30 rd mag for a M4 with suppressor and all as well as fired a glock 18c with a 33rd mag for 18. i think 6/7 bucks to shoot a nighthawk with a suppressor on it. and a friend of mine there came with an MP5 with a sear and i got to shoot it for free.[Coffee] i think i spent no more than 100 including a entry fee and drawing plus shooting tannerite in pumpkins. all the rifles mags there where 22 each which included ammo and the factor of wear.
also alot of people from other countries go there to shoot guns like that cause they dont get the opportunity large corporate events form what some class lll dealers tell me.
I went there this past month with my wife and father in law i couldnt belive how much it was after everything we spent about $3500[Bang] ... still fun though [AR15]
I'm heading to Vegas, anyone have recommendations on places to go?
H.
I went there as part of a bachelor party group. We accepted the costs and had fun while it lasted. What was disconcerting as we left, yet not totally surprising given that it was Vegas, was the group of guys hanging right outside the building with an 18 pack of bud light...was just hoping that was untouched until after they finished.
Well if I'm ever in Vegas I guess I'll avoid it.
Ya know there IS a place where you can fire an automatic all you want...just sign some papers and they give you all kinds of fun guns to shoot! [Tooth]

Yeah, that place is super expensive, but fun. A good friend of mine works there
You all know that we offer the same service here in colorado substantially cheaper. Our tour packages start at $210, but include at least 3 guns. I don't know why you would go to vegas and spend so much more when u can do it here cheaper.

I spent a lot of time there years ago when I lived there (got an LE discount). But yea its definitely a tourist trap of sorts. And there are tons of areas in the outlying desert that are free and secluded to shoot.

The 13th Annual Rocky Mountain Machine gun Shoot is 4 weeks away. The new location is about an 1 1/2 hours east of Denver. This is the shoot that was at Cheyenne Wells and Ft. Morgan.
There will be lots of guns available to rent. Anything from over 200 full auto machine guns to a bunch of long range precision rifles. Canons and bowling ball mortars. We will have targets out to almost a mile and half as well as exploding targets.
There is also a Bring Your Own Gun spot on the firing line for someone who wants to shoot their own gun without getting a spot all 3 days.
Check out the website for more information.
This is to benefit the Leonidas Fund.
